How To Stay Consistent With Affiliate Marketing On TikTok

Below is the transcription for this episode:

Dave: What is going on my friends, this is Dave Sharpe, Hey, I am super excited about today. Okay, and I'm going to tell you why, is because every single day in our community we have people who are looking for, basically, to answer the big question of how can I start making money, when am I going to start making money right, this is kind of such a, you know, it's it's the question that's front and center on every single person's mind, as they're building any business but especially this right because you're working, you're creating content, and you see other people like Stacy law, who I want to bring on here in just a moment. Really kind of crushing it. So I want to figure out what is her secret today and have her breakdown and dissect a little bit of her journey over the past year or so, basically going from brand new to now making triple her salary. Okay and I want to confirm with her that that's actually what she's been able to achieve. Now we're going to talk about some numbers and results but I want to give a big disclaimer here. Before we start, the average person who tries, or goes through any information makes no money at all. Any person who starts a business, especially online, usually makes no money at all. And the reason why I believe this is simply because they don't do anything right, or they don't do what it takes to be able to succeed. Now, sometimes it can be a skill thing or sometimes it can just be bad luck, I guess. It's certainly not the case with Stacey, since it's not the case. I want to try to get as much information from her as we can about how she's been able to do what she's done. This is going to be a good one but that being said, Stacey was. Welcome to the show.

Stacy: Hey everyone thanks for having me again.

Dave: I love, can I just say I love your tattoos like you look what I like what I think my wife is going to look like. Here in like a year or two, because she got her first kind of floral tattoo on her. Yeah, we actually went to, we actually went to Toronto for her to do that.

Stacy: Right in my town.

Dave: Are you, are you from Toronto?

Stacy: Yeah.

Dave: Where did you get your tattoo? I have a what's the, you remember the name of the place.

She just moved. I wonder if you guys maybe went to the same artist.

Stacy: I know, imagine that. That'd be funny.

Dave: Yeah it was it was it, it was a young girl she was probably in her early 20’s, but like so good, my wife found her on instagram.

Stacy: Yeah, that's where I found my artist as well.

Dave: Yeah, Instagram, and they look very similar, like they're really, they're really nice, they're real, I mean, sometimes a floral design isn't done right, but yours and my wife's looks excellent. Stacy: Yeah, it all depends on the artist. Yeah, but they are really great.

Dave: Do you remember what your tattoo artist name was?

Stacy: It was Lou.

Dave: Lou? That's the same place. Let's talk about marketing. So while we've got you know 100 people on the call, guys we were just having a little conversation about the lovely tattoos here.

So, you know, I talked I intro, this show today with this kind of big question that I hear so many people say, which is like Dave I'm doing the work, or I'm posting the videos let's take TikTok, for example, I'm posting the videos I'm making videos, I'm starting to kind of find my beliefs, my message, but I've, I've only made one or two sales, you know, can you take us through your journey and you kind of explain a little bit about what it, what it looked like when you started. And what, when you started finding momentum. What, what changed or what do you think was the main reason why and I'm sure you get that question a lot from people as well. How fast am I going to start making money?

Stacy: Yeah. Yeah so, I mean, when I first started I was brand new politically and marketing like Legendary and the first thing that I ever tried and started learning with affiliate marketing which, which honestly was awesome and I've loved it so far, but when you first start you, you're really not sure what's gonna happen and for me that was kind of where I was sitting, and I kind of made this commitment to myself to just, no matter what happens regardless of the results or the income is it just be consistent for at least three months straight, like don't even really look at the results because who knows what's gonna happen, and I find that when you focus too hard on getting the result, you sort of, you lose your path, you can you, it kind of ends up doing this because you're chasing the result, instead of chasing like the knowledge and learning how to actually build an online business. And, I mean I've tried other online businesses before we talked about this last time I tried dropshipping and in social media marketing and doing you know advertising for other people. But with that, I didn't really do what I just said. I was always kind of looking for that fast result because to me results meant I was doing it right. But with this, I learned that results don't actually mean anything. Results are just results, what if you're doing it right, you actually learn the process, because if once you learn how to do the process right and you're consistent with that you can replicate results whenever you want. If you're just focused on getting results and you don't actually learn the process, and kind of take note of that in your mind, you won't be able to replicate the results again, because you won't really know what you did so for this. It was more focusing on learning the process and perfecting a process versus hurrying up to get results. And the funny thing is, as soon as I learned how I started doing that, that's when I started seeing results. So, like consistency which, I mean, I was talking about with Matt like consistency is a really big thing, focus on being yourself, focus on the process and be consistent with that and then you'll find your audience because the people who are like you and can resonate with what you're doing will come to you and it sometimes takes a while it may not come quickly. But ultimately if it takes you a year to build a business, or longer, even like five years to build a business that will sustain you for the rest of your life. That's a very short time in that, you know, big picture. So, I mean, for anyone who is really looking at the results really quickly just try to focus on, you know you're building something that you're trying to make sustainable for ever, not just quick results in quick money which I know a lot of people, you know these last few months I've kind of seen a lot of people are kind of in that mindset. I think the main thing is to just focus on building something amazing. And then the results will come.

Dave: I think I think people are, I think people have always been focused on money, and it's, it's, it's a bit of a, I think, employee mindset, it's how we've all been trained that if I put in an honest day's work, I'm gonna get an honest day's pay right if I put in a week's worth of work I mean, we have people who come to work here at legendary and they they're, they're like, why didn't I get paid at the end of my first week and we're like, Have you ever had a job before like there's we paid two weeks and a rear so there's even people who have had jobs who forget that, and they want to be paid at the end of the week. So I think there's a completely different shift in terms of the expectations of when you're going to get paid for the work that you put in that resonates with you at all. Was that something that you had to shift or not really.

Stacy: Yeah 100% I used to work shift work, and it's the same thing like you have this set job and you're kind of trained, I mean I've been working since I was 15 years old so I mean, it's, it's kind of one of those things that you need to train your mind to realize that when you work for yourself, no one's paying you, you don't have a boss anymore, you are your boss so you're working towards goals instead of paycheck. So that's kind of a shift that you need to, to, to put in your mind that you're not really working for some beated you know handout money to you you're working to achieve whatever goal that you set out so you need to be very careful when you're making your goals because sometimes they're not realistic so it needs to be something that you just need to change that, that you know you're your own boss, you are working towards whatever income you want to make and it's not a paycheck anymore.

Dave: So you mentioned the shift now we're going to come back to your process and stuff. Later, I want to learn more about what that means to you, but I want you to briefly touch on, if you will, for those who don't know, kind of, what you used to do versus what your life looks like now. You can you talk a little bit about how you used to work 12 hour shifts to make extra income, just to pay your bills, how you missed time with your, your daughter, and how eventually you quit that job, you found Legendary, and I want to make sure that the quote that I quoted earlier about you actually almost tripling your yearly salary in six months this year was accurate, can you take us through just the nutshell version of what that looked like leading to where you're at now and what's happened.

Stacy: Yeah, so, so I used to work at a nuclear plant, and I worked shift work not all the time but my regular job was nine to five, but for me to really, you know, make extra money if I wanted to get ahead in life I had to work shift work so that meant working 12 hour shifts rotating days and nights, and that meant leaving my family leaving my daughter at the time she was two and a half when I started doing that and, you know, for all the moms out there, it's hard to leave your kids like it didn't feel natural to have to do that and and have someone else, you know, raise them it was my mom that was really lucky. My mom was after her fourth but my husband and I went to work, but it's still not what I wanted as a mom, but at the time, that was just what we had to do.

I did that for about. I worked at that job for about 15 years but the shift work was for five years, and in the time that I was working 12 hour shifts, I actually worked six years and the time like an extra years time in the five years so I worked six hours six years worth of time in five years so to me I looked at that as I last year. Like I know it doesn't really work that way but to me that's kind of how I was visualizing it and that's the years was the time where I could have been with my daughter with my husband or spending time doing the things that I want so I kind of did a look at what I really wanted for my life and at that time I had already started going down the road of online business trying to make money online I knew it was possible and I kind of started with dropshipping and I tried to to work that out, and it was very hard to do that. Plus, trying to start an online business like less, spend time with my family so I made the choice to just leave one of them, and the one that I picked was my job, which at the time, people think you're crazy because I mean I had worked there for 15 years and it was a job with pension and benefits and, and, like people messaged me like are you okay like what, what happened, and my response was, I'm actually great, like this was the best decision I think I ever made. It wasn't easy and for the next year, in a bit like I struggled because I thought that dropshipping was going to be the thing and it was much more complicated than I thought. The profit margins are not what what everyone thinks it's, it's difficult to actually run a sustainable business that way and, which is what led me to Legendary and affiliate marketing, it was the one thing I hadn't really tried before and I'm not even really sure why it was just something that I didn't think that I wanted to do, but I've been hearing more about it and I've been seeing actually people post about it on Tik Tok like which is, which is kind of interesting because that's how I found you guys, and so I started doing some research and I decided you know what, I'm going to try this. One last thing, and I'm actually going to commit to it like I kind of explained before for the next three months, I'm going to just, like, go for it, and, and no matter what the result. I'm just going every single day. So, that was in December of last year. And, you know, the first month I just wasn't really sure what I was doing I'd never been on TikTok before I didn't really put my face out there I didn't like hearing the sound of my own voice or seeing myself on camera, it was just so weird, which is what a lot of people struggle with. And I just had to say you know what it probably took me a week to make my first kickoff. And I've mentioned my cages go post it, and then from that point on it, kind of history because from that, that first video I posted three times a day no matter what, whether I felt like crap whether I was tired didn't really matter, every single day and I posted continually I worked on building up audiences, you know, in different areas. And, the results just ended up coming once I sort of worked on the process when I, when I started focusing on just being consistent, putting out the content to help people learn the skill of affiliate marketing as best as you can go through the training and really focus on learning the skills. That's when I started seeing a change. After a little while, you realize, you know you focus on, on your process you really start to see what's working better and what not, and you actually need some time to do that it's not just, you know I posted for a couple weeks and why did I not get any sales, it's because you actually have to take a look at what you did look backwards and see the things that didn't work. Those are almost more, the more important things than the things that did work because the things that don't work teach you something, they teach you something that you didn't know before that maybe you thought was different. So, you know the failed failures I don't really like on that but know what it is the failures are almost better for you, long term because that's what teaches you to, you know, pivot and make your business better, so it was really just like consistently for me that that I think got me to where I was, where I am today.

Dave: And where are you today? I've already given the disclaimer so everybody knows that your results are not typical, but tell us, give us actual results of where you're at. You don't have to tell us how much money is in your bank account but just give us an idea of how life has changed financially for you compared to your, your, your job that you put in.

Stacy: Yeah, so for me I have, I you know I was, we were talking about, like, The results but I mean, you know with legendary, and the two times platinum with legendary, but not only just with legendary I have other affiliate programs that I've been, I've been working with as well like other software other things that I've been, I've been working with that, even those alone are almost as much as I made in a year, at least outside of legendary as almost as one of the year in my in my old job so I mean, I don't have we don't have any debt anymore we're actually in the middle of renovating our house which, which I was never able to do working my job I could not save up enough money to do that. I have my dream behind me because pretty much older furniture is in the middle of our living room right now, we're renovating and, you know, we can't. Well, we can't really travel right now, because, you know, Ontario is not fully, you know, open in Canada but we could go on vacations if you know we were able to, which we have never been on like a family vacation in years like away. So, I mean, and not only that I can spend time like the most important thing to me, I can spend whatever time I want with my family whenever I want now, because I know the process, I have a system in place and a process in place that allows me if I need to generate extra income to do something I can do that I know how to put that system in place and make the income I need to pay for whatever it is I need which is when I was working a job before it's okay I'm going to have to I'd have to calculate how many days, weeks, months of work, I would have to work to like buy something that was more like I need to calculate how much time I need to spend to devote to buying something that you need, where now, it has nothing to do with time, it's more of a, I can implement my system, or, and it will generate the income for me and I can kind of put that in place and walk away. It's in do what I want in the meantime where that is not possible, working my old job there is no way I'd be able to do that and I don't have to ask for permission from a boss or my boss, if I can maybe take, you know, a couple days here and there off so it's completely changed. You know it all together. So I mean, I don't even really know how to work. My life is just completely different. It's what I wanted when I first heard about this a few years ago when I first heard about making money online, starting an online business. This is what I dreamed about. And this is where I am right now and it's not even really a monetary figure, it's the time freedom, and it's the freedom to live your life, how you choose to do so and that really doesn't have, you know a specific amount tied to it. Everyone's will be different, but for me I mean I made over and above what I would, what kind of needed for my dream life, and I don't see it as something I really don't.

Dave: Yeah. Well, I say the same thing if I would have tried to set goals, and I did, I would have short changed myself. And I think the tricky part is that I didn't hit my short term goals, but I've far exceeded my long term goals. Does that resonate with you?

Stacy: Yeah, that, that makes sense, and that's something that I also had to learn, because I think that's also tied to sort of a job mentality where you, you make these goals that you think, you know, need to be little, little things along the way when really focusing on the big picture is what I think helps people really propel past the results that they really think they want because when you've never made that kind of money before you, a lot of people don't believe that it's actually possible and. And one thing that I've learned and actually, the great thing about what I'm doing right now is I meet a lot of great people who come to me for help, but what really happens is they help me to, I learn things from the people in my community in my group as well, where, you know, somebody shared something with me that that put what I was thinking into perspective where people kind of, they think they can do something but they don't act on it, or they act on it not believing that they can do it. And I think success comes when you join those two things when you actually believe that it's possible and you act on it because belief alone is not going to get you anything, and actions alone are not going to get you anything if you don't believe that you could do it so, believing that you actually can and taking action every single day just to work on that belief and put that belief in action, is when the results happen.

Dave: And I have the saying that you can't think yourself into a new way of acting but you can act yourself into a new way of thinking, I didn't invent that but it's a saying that I love. And, and I think you're right. The magic is when that belief starts to build. And, and, but it doesn't build first, and then you take the first step, you take the first step, and then it builds, and sort of like watching a baby walk. You mentioned your kids. I have an eight, seven, almost eight month old son and he's just starting to pull himself up right now. And each little thing that he does Stacy. He builds more belief, you can see it in him, he gets a little bit more bold, he gets a little bit more courageous, he gets a little bit more cocky even, you know, he started sitting up right.

I feel like the same exact thing happens with us, we do something. And when we do it, I think that's the part that we should, that we should focus on. But a lot of us miss the fact that when we started we were terrified, or totally insecure about the process, and now all of a sudden, we may be doing things, and actually taking action, but because we're focused, like you said, on the money. We're missing the miracle of the process, which you've mentioned several times, which is the building of confidence, and the building of belief, from the steps that we are taking you believe also that a lot of folks are missing their motivation because they're missing the miracles, because they're not focusing on acknowledging themselves for those steps that they are taking what comes up for you?

Stacy: I can actually relate to that myself because that was me before, and I think that's why my previous businesses didn't succeed or my perfect ways that I was trying to make money online, didn't succeed because I always failed to, like, document the process that I was doing in my own head I feel to miss the little wins like even just starting, or oh I posted a pickup today or I you know I sat and worked on some new emails, those are all went down and and do something that you weren't able to do before. That's a win for you and if you, if you don't document those and this is something that my husband actually, you know, it's very good at, reminding me about doing on, I'm still working on this, but if you don't document the small wins you'll feel like you're not successful, which really hurts your motivation it hurts you. You know when you don't feel motivated, it's really hard to move forward so without documenting those tiny wins those little things that are not related to money whatsoever and I'm not talking about results here I'm talking about processes, when you don't document those small wins, you kind of lose that motivation because you think you're not achieving anything.

Dave: So I agree with what you said whenever you have something that he would tell you to, to document like can you, Can you take us into, like, let us be a fly on the wall of what that conversation looks like, what, what type of things was he pointing out to you?

Stacy: So in the beginning, you know when, when I'm first starting out again. This is one that always comes into my head when I'm, when I'm first start thinking about getting on social media I would say but like who would even want to follow me like who would even want to like learn from me because I haven't, I haven't achieved anything, and he was hitting me like, What do you mean safety like what have you not achieved and like I haven't really made the money that I think people are going to tie to like that and he's like safety, but doesn't have anything like the amount of money you make doesn't have anything to do with what you've achieved but you you've tried multiple different business models that people can learn, learn from you. You started something new and you can document your journey, you are, you know, you're you, and you're trying something else, and that's something that you can use document and share with the world that you've actually achieved a lot, but you just don't see it, and he was very good at kind of reminds me about all of the little things that had nothing to do with money that I had achieved along the way, and, and when you start looking back at that, it really does help you see like you know what I am doing something and know the results may not be, you know at the time, what I wanted in what I thought equal success.

But I, when you start looking back you see that you are succeeding and you're working towards your goal you're going along your journey to along your path towards what you want, and eventually you'll hit the, you know the monetary results but again like money doesn't really have to do with success in a way, like it's all about.

Dave: I'm gonna drop a, I'm gonna drop a gold bar on everybody right now and I hope this, at least I think it is, you know, maybe you guys might think it's a little crumb but I hope I can see this clearly enough that everybody can understand it because I believe this was one of the secrets to my success is that I learned to to take normal everyday things that usually we just ignore and don't really look at, like their big deals.

For example, for me, it was getting off drugs and staying clean. Right. I mean, that was something that most people did. Hush, I don't want anybody to know that I keep that skeleton in the closet. You know what I mean. But I looked at that and I said, I don't have any financial success now. This was back when I was starting, I don't have any financial success. I don't have any wins, like, I don't have any businesses or 1000s I wasn't even thousandaire when I started I was hundredaire you know what I mean like if I had 1000 in my bank account I thought it was rich, but I looked at this thing that I had done, which was get clean from drugs and stay clean for a couple of years at that time or a year or whatever, and I learned how to tell that story in a way that, that made others feel inspired by that. And also, I believe that it helped them look at their own life and realize that they also had achieved things. I looked, I took stories that happened in my everyday life. I'll give you a funny example: one time my wife got into an accident and broke her neck. It wasn't like a hole, it was a fracture in her neck, and I actually wrote an email about it and turned it into like a marketing angle, she actually got a little upset about that because it was kind of like too soon moment she was like, still a neck brace and I'm writing a marketing email about it. But I learned to take those every day moments. People can let me know in the comments if you're picking up what I'm putting down. I learned to take those every day, moments that most of us miss, Stacy, that the most of us just as you were doing at the beginning just overlooked because we're always looking at the Lamborghinis and the mansions and saying all that I need to have that before I can have the authority and the platform to be able to actually speak with confidence. And what I learned to do is I just learned to take those, those, those sort of everyday achievements that all of us have actually had done, but nobody vocalizes nobody turns those everyday achievements into like a heroic story. And what I did was I learned to take those every day. Moments those every day wins that we all have, but none of us give ourselves credit for. And I learned to take those every day little wins, like somebody cutting me off in traffic, and I just inside I was raging. And I sat there in my seat, and I just said a prayer for that person. And I said, You know what, they must be having a bad day. I'm not going to make it worse by Robert Johnson, and I drove home, and I had a beautiful dinner with my family. That's something that we all can relate to because some days we pray on other days, we have our peaceful nature to us and we say a prayer whatever for the person and we go on home and we're good people right on that day, we don't. We didn't contribute to the misery of society. That's what I learned to do Stacy, that's what I learned to do at the beginning, and I still do that today. I take those small stories that all of us have in our life. And I put words to them. I actually turn them into a story and what that helps people do is look at me with more inspiration and more kind of motivation and positivity, but it also makes people feel seen, because I'm also telling their story. And if I was talking about Lamborghinis and mansions that would not make anybody feel seen because 99.999% of people can't relate to that, but when I tell those everyday stories, and I turn my everyday normal life into a heroic journey, it's funny, it's exciting, it's inspirational, and it also makes my audience feel seen and heard, and like, they're the hero of their own life, what comes up for you as I say that Did that make sense.

Stacy: It makes complete sense. It, it, I think it's an amazing way to reach out to people, and like you said, people feel like they, they are seen I liked the way that you said that that's, I think that that is why when you kind of spin that into like what we're doing, especially with social media, and even like TV that is why I think people love reality TV and love social media because a lot of the times and a lot of the accounts and a lot of the channels that you see doing really well are just people who document their day, and people are really looking for, to feel like they belong to something, and that they're okay and that they're not, you know, doing something so wrong so I think that that is a great way to do it, it's something that I personally need to work on for myself because, you know, I've always kind of struggled with join people my weaknesses, it's something that I have, I have been okay with saying now that i i It's something that I personally need to work on myself and I think it's a great way to actually find your people like find your group, find your audience because your true authentic you, is, is who you should be showing and will really actually attract more people than you think. And it's something that I'm working on myself. It's something I need to be better at but you know, again this is a journey. It's something that, you know, a process and a journey that I'm on myself so you know I will get better at it and you guys will see more about my, like, my life, I'm sure as I go along but yeah I think that's an amazing way to put it.

Dave: Well marketing is storytelling. At the core of marketing, great ads, you know, there's this watch brand named Paddock Phillipe, it's like this, this super 200 year old watch brand, and they have an advertisement. And it's kind of the most famous advertisement, it says you never really own a Paddock. You merely look after it for the next hour. And I mean, to me, it's like oh my god it's like, it's like, what they're doing is they're positioning their watch, as a, an heirloom right there are other, there are other advertisements that I remember is, they have a steel watch called the Nautilus, and they say it's the most expensive steel watch in the world right positioning, you know, and then they tell you why they're positioning it as a luxury item, even though it's a steel watch. Right, I mean this watch, you know, this watch is $35,000 for a steel watch, whereas this Rolex is $9500 You know what I mean. So, it's the story: What is it, what story are you telling in your marketing and what we all fail. Our biggest failure is, simply, as I said, seeing everyday situations and happenings in our life, the moments where we have a motion, particularly where we're angry, or we're sad seeing those moments, and then telling that story. If you read a great novel, if you read any book. What sucks you in. Is not the 30,000 foot perspective, it's how a author takes you through the details of somebody's day. The details of somebody's outfit. The details of the smell of the room when they walked into the restaurant, the details of the taste, the way he felt the way she said this in her face moved right it's those, you can we can string, a small little moment in life, that only lasted 30 seconds or two minutes into an email into a YouTube video into a tic toc. Right. I think what we're all looking at are these big achievements, and we're stuck on. I need to make this much money, and then I'm going to do something right. But the truth is is that people can't relate, they're not as interested in, when you make it to the top of the mountain because they're not at the top of the mountain. What they want is you to describe what it's like to be at the bottom of the mountain. In what that climb is like, so they can feel like you understand that. And when you understand when they feel heard and seen and understood this was, I was at an event with my wife, she brought me to go see Oprah. About five years ago down in Miami. Oprah is one of the best storytellers. And the best at making a large audience there's been many women who have done TV sitcoms, or up, you know daytime shows talk shows, I guess they're called. Many women have tried this over the years but she's built the biggest audience in Bend the largest influencer and the sentence that she said that will always stick with me that all that actually I didn't understand when she said it took me a couple of years, and now I think I do is that we all want to be seen, heard and understood. That's all. Yeah, that's all we want, if my marketing is all about flexing right, flexing what I have, or flexing what I've done, or flexing what I've achieved. I'm not making anybody feel seen, heard and understood. Matter of fact, what I'm making people feel is probably jealous, envious, less than, and not seen. So I hope you guys are picking this up but I'd appreciate it if you set it in the comments if you are, because this is the, this what Stacy has said and what I'm now piggybacking and adding on to it, I believe, is the missing piece that so many of us have. And unfortunately, it forces us to quit before the miracle happens. Miracle happens in your business. Do you agree with Stacy?

Stacy: I 100% agree with that, I do everything that you just said completely resonates and it's, it's what I'm even seeing from, you know what I've been trying in my own business, people don't necessarily. You think when you're creating that people will want to see the results that you're getting, but the best content that performs the best is really the ones where you document what you're doing, and anyone investing hair right, right.

Dave: Yeah. Like, being like, Oh, I got to be perfect for this, and then you get all dolled up or I get all in my comb my hair just perfectly look like the perfect gentleman in the video flops right yeah whatever video takes off and it's like what Yeah, right, because I can relate to this shit. Exactly.

Stacy: And that's it and you know any woman can relate to because the time that you go out and you, you just throw on whatever, like you said messy when you go out someone's like, Oh, you look nice and you're like, what, it's never you know what I mean it's that moment.

Dave: Yeah, I do that to my wife all the time like she'll like to set a pair of sweatpants.

Right, but then she'll get all dolled up in the eye like what and she's like, she's like, she got cuz she spent all that time getting ready, and it's weird. You've said the word process that you guys call it process up and Canada but I wondered if you could just say a little bit more you said find your process, find your process do your process you. You said that so many times that I just.

Can you say more, give us a little bit more context about what is your process, what did that look like for you to find that. And now what does that look like on a daily basis in terms of your approach to things, and how you think about creating marketing?

Stacy: So in the beginning I'll start from when I, when I first started that my process just began with learning the skill, and being okay with implementing it imperfectly, because you're not going to be, no matter what you do, right in the beginning so a lot of the posts that just began with trying something, and seeing the result. So in the beginning, that's what I really suggest that people do is just try and watch, try and watch, try something and see what happens once you kind of have been doing that for a little while, you can look at the, like, when I say results I'm not talking about money, but look at the results from what you do, whether it's how many people if you're posting on social media for example, how many views that gets whether people are commenting whether it seems like the people you're trying to reach, are actually, you know, receptive of what you're saying, once you kind of have that down, you can start to make, you know, a plan of okay I have some examples of what, what has worked and what has not worked so I'm going to focus more on what is working. So that is sort of the beginning process is just to determine like try and fail and figure out what works best for you personally as a marketer, as you know, regardless of what is it that you're trying to do. And then after that, for me it was more of continuing that process of trying and failing, but then putting systems in place like automated funnels your email marketing sequences to complement that you the content that you're creating the marketing that you're putting out there because the goal as, you know, an affiliate marketer in it, at least for me as an online business owner is to, to have as many things happening in my business without me having to touch them so your automated process like learning how to build great funnels and learning how to how to send out emails to your list, emails that you know, aren't they are selling like you said that are really just, you know, genuinely, you know, reaching out to them to make them feel like you understand them. So a lot of the process for me is just try and failing, like, really focusing on what I see work, and then in my day now I just kind of tweak those processes look through and check to see the traffic's on my funnel, check to see whether my emails are being open, look at the views on my, on my content, and really just try to slowly pick away at the things that I think will make those things better, and allow me to actually step more and more away from actively doing those things to me. I mean freedom to me is, is not the money, it's being able to live the life that you want so the goal for me is always find ways to do what I want to do with the least amount of time that it will take for me so I'm always looking at ways of perfecting, you know what my funnel looks like or researching other other brands other funnels, whether it's affiliate marketing or not, that, see what they're doing and watching what works. So, I mean my day now is, is really more focusing on creating content and usually how I start my day, then I follow up with all of the different audiences and groups that I've kind of built around what I do, whether it's, you know, calling somebody's YouTube channel going into my Facebook group and helping people out. Messaging VMs for anyone who is looking for help. And then, you know, after that it's just kind of repeating that process every day. So it's not really anything complicated, a lot of people think that there's some secret process that's out there some secret strategy that you need to do but it's really just trying to get better and better at what you know already work, getting, getting to learn those skills, and instead of always having to refer to notes, getting them in the back of your mind that you are, you know that without thinking about it so it's not like anything complicated for me it's just, you know, working on what I know works, and helping as many people along the way.

Dave: So we know that you're, you're kicking some major tail on TikTok. And that's, and that's awesome. You've, you've been able to keep your views consistently high. Whereas, I've seen other people who have kind of gone kind of shot up to the moon with their view counts, and their audience, but then, like for example I saw a couple of people recently who, like, had a great message and great entertainment and great content, I call it edutainment. And then all the sudden they went off doing this big affiliate launch and got kind of confused. Our audience started pitching hard and they're just their views just shot they almost killed their channel, doing that. You've, you've just consistently had good solid view counts, and continuously grown your tick tock account. I want to talk about YouTube here in a moment and then we'll wrap up these are going to be the last couple of questions but what would you credit the growth on your TikTok channel to?

Stacy: I think it really is what you already sort of mentioned that it's being consistent, because when there's two things that kind of come into play with social media that I think people don't realize one is your audience, they follow you for a reason, and usually it's for a specific video that they find it's usually your most viral video you get a lot of your followers from but not even you get some from, you know, all along the way. So when someone is following you for a specific video and you're, You've been talking about something for a while. If you suddenly change what you talked about and it confuses them, they came to you for a reason so if something is working, like don't like it would be silly to change that. I mean, it doesn't mean you can't try something else. But that doesn't mean try it on the thing that is currently working for you so if you find a messaging or a way that you deliver your content or a type of thing that you do that is working just stick with that and write it out as long as possible and don't try to change it, unless it's not working. If you suddenly see that you've been doing the same thing for a really long time, your messaging has remained consistent and then you've noticed that your views are going down, that is the time to look at your content and think okay I might need to make a change. Another thing with social media is that there's an algorithm in place.

I mean, I've been having issues with my TikTok account but even though I haven't been able to post for a little while because TikTok is being silly right now. I still am getting views on my content, I'm still getting consistent views because my messaging I think is consistent people come to my account for specific reasons because they liked the content I was creating for certain, for whatever reason that they decided, but also that algorithm is going to show your content to people who, it has looked at in the past have followed you like do and watched your content so if you change that in the algorithm is showing the content to people who liked it before, it's not going to work if the algorithm is not going to work in your favor so I think the algorithm part of things that people don't really realize is that you're training the TikTok algorithm to show your content to specific people and if you're constantly changing that. It's going to be very difficult for you to get followers because the algorithm is not going to know who shows your content.

Dave: So, yeah, so I think that's something that people just don't really realize that I think is really important. You got to train the algorithm guys that was a that was a boulder I hope you have a dump truck to catch that boulder and carry it back away with you because I see people who have grown massive accounts on, say, tick tock, for example, like, there's a couple of comedians who use the same exact sound every time one guy that I'm thinking of in specific. He's the guy who is the. He acts like a store worker, and people come in and they say, you know, you know, he pretends to be them he's like, hey how you doing, and then, and then he pretends to be the customer. I'm just looking. And then, the music drops and it's like that. Dun dun dun. And he's like, and then he starts to be like he kind of says what's in his head like I wasn't, I wasn't going to try too hard so you I was just saying, How you doing, have a nice day. Like any, and then it's like he's just, he's got the same stick, it's the same structure in a joke every video it's just the content of the joke is a little bit different. He's talking about all the different scenarios that happen at retail stores, and into him as an employee. Another one is this young kid, kind of a heavyset black kid I don't know if you guys have, have seen his content, he's usually in a car, and he uses the same exact sound. And he's, he's like, why are dad's always like, you know, whatever things that dad say, And then he drops a salad, and he talks about his thoughts in his head, and it's just like why are teachers always like, why are neighbors always like, why our motto is like why are sisters always like, and then, you know, it's, but it's the same thing. And the reason why I bring that up is because you just said.

You got to train the algorithm. In, the moment that you go from talking about online marketing stuff for making money or building a business online stuff to even talking about like family stuff, or even any video that has a different type of content. I would think when we talk about machines, artificial intelligence, it's smart but it's not that smart. He gets confused, and now all of a sudden, it's just like a confused buyer does nothing. The algorithm is just going to say hey, I'm confused by this person, I'm just going to set them aside.

Stacy: I Do. Exactly. I agree with that. Yeah and it doesn't matter what social media platform you use yes they're all gonna have slightly different algorithms, but essentially, at their core, that is how it works, they know what we do, they can see what we look at they, they know us very well which, You know, people who are not marketers that's probably scary but as a marketer, it's amazing. But, I mean, you have to know that it's trying to figure your content out and who the best people to show it to they've the algorithm, and you know the people have ticked off they want your content to succeed because that means that you're going to keep making content, and they're going to keep having viewers so they want to show it to the right person, but if you are not being consistent, then it's going to be very hard for them to know who to show that. I think another big nugget that I'm taking out of this.

Dave: Everybody, this is such a big theme in our community and on these, on these shows every morning is consistent. Be consistent, be consistent, but that doesn't just mean throw any old thing up, be consistent with your message and your topic in your structure. Does that resonate with you if you are also talking about that as we talked about the algorithm?

Stacy: Yeah, For sure, it needs to be they don't just look at. I mean, again, this is a computer, it's not a human that's looking at your content so it's everything to, you know, like you guys see this screen behind me I leave that there, because that is what I started with that I tried changing them out that seems to be what works like I analyze everything about my content too. You can even see the text that I use on the overlay on top of every video that's the one that I think is the most clear you can see, like, kind of how I'm always positioned in my videos, even down to like the way that I deliver my messaging and what it, what it includes kind of how I build that out everything is consistent, because I have seen that it works. And when I kind of deviate from that I do try you'll see sometimes every once in a while I have like one or two videos where I'm outside or where I'm not in front of the screen where, you know, but I just find those don't always work as well. And, you know, I will try something every once in a while but it came to a consistent way that you do your content, the way that you do your emails, it can go outside of just social media, the way that you just build your presence is very important because people are looking for that they're coming to you for a reason and you need to remember that it's more than just humans who are trying to figure you out, it's also the social media algorithms and everything like that so being, you know, consistent with what you do is very important because you can also then determine what is not working. When you're not consistent with what you do when you change it up all the time and that thing stopped working, you are never going to be able to figure out what it was that you did that caused that to happen.

Dave: There's a lot of gold to be mined in what you're saying today I just have one final question speaking about doing, what's working, I mean you've got some YouTube videos here 490,000 views 100 and 111 views to. Why are you not doing more YouTube?

Stacy:  It's something that's on the list, I mean, my husband has been saying the same thing is like I think you need to make more YouTube videos and like I really the only answer that I have because I know I need to. But the thing is, I'm still really doing it all by myself. I record all my videos myself, I edit all my videos myself, I make all the thumbnails myself, I do it all myself and it's, you know I used to be very hard on myself for not doing more. Now I turn it more into a motivation where I am doing what I can and I have a very high standard for the quality of content that I put out, so I don't want to rush. You know, anything to just put it out just to get views that's not really why I'm doing it. When I post something on my youtube I really want to make a video, I've researched it the best that I can. I've been in it, so that people really understand, and when I do put it out, people will know okay when she puts her stuff out, it's good, it's going to be good so that they will wait so I will get better at, you know, posting more content on my YouTube channel and it's coming for anyone who is waiting for it but just know that the wait will be worth it when it does come out because I'll make sure that it is good. That's a good philosophy so I actually have one more question. Are you repurposing your ted talks onto your Instagram rails? Yeah 100% That's the strategy that I've been doing. I haven't recorded any new content onto my Instagram yet. Because the reason why and this is something that I've even posted in my Facebook group, the reason why I even started Instagram was because when you're running an account on a free platform like social media, you're at the mercy of their algorithm which we just talked about and that could mean and what I think a lot of people probably haven't seen even on tick tock is that you may or may not have your accounts there tomorrow. And it's really not good business sense to build your entire business on something that you don't own. So what I suggest is to, for anyone who's watching this, who's in my group, that you diversify your content in as many places as possible because you want to be able to reach your audience. If something happens to your main traffic source so my main traffic source is tick tock. But, even me personally, I've been having issues with tick tock lately where I haven't been able to post they're not allowed me to posting so thankfully, I started my Instagram account and I've been more heavily posting there now, but the great thing is that I can just repurpose content so if anyone's feeling overwhelmed like oh my gosh and other social media platforms like you don't have to create new content repurpose everything that you have in as many places as possible, and build up your audience in as many places because then people can find you if something happens. And then when you get to a point where you can build your own, you know, somewhere where you can house your own audience yourself on a platform that makes you own, I don't even know what that looks like. But if you were to do that then, you know, you're a little bit more safe, but for right now with social media just diversify as much as you can, and that way you won't lose your business if something ever happens when you get to the place that you are, why not just open up an Instagram account is scoop up an extra nearly a million views on videos that I'm looking at here right now like, it just makes too much sense.

Dave: Yeah, you know, I think, something that a lot of us are, you know, are kind of that a lot of us are kind of looking at it, and just, it just also missing here is, Well, is that is that while you're building your business I guess is the best way to say it. These platforms are also building their business, they're trying to figure out, figure it out as they go to, you know, and so, you know, they're, they, they're competing for your bit your business like in your business is your content creation, they want every platform tick tock Instagram wants the best creators. For that to be their main platform, right. So, it's really smart for you to be on these different platforms. Give them content, because they want to push it forward, they want, they want to give you the most views so that's your focus. And, and, also, also understand that they're trying to figure it out as they go. So if all of a sudden you get throttled back, or you're not. You're not getting as many views or whatever, use, if you've diversified like that, diversified your traffic, ultimately you still win because you kind of are like hey what my money's no good here. Okay, I'll just go over here to Instagram, you know what I mean.

Stacy: Exactly, yeah.

Dave: Yeah, so they're going, you know, it's I feel like we underestimate the power that we have as creators today, because of all these platforms that I'm telling you right now. You look at the announcement that Mark Zuckerberg just made yesterday. I think about the metaverse. Okay this is his new vision for what the internet is going to look like and all of the work, all of the focus that they're putting in to their platform for creators, for creators, right, that means that they're going to tailor the platform in focus a lot of their attention on us creators, because they know if they can attract the most creators. Then, if they have the best content that people are going to continue to stay on their platform, that means that not only are you going to have the same chance that you've always had to build an audience and sell your own stuff, or products you're an affiliate of. But these platforms are going to continue to share, advertising revenue with us, and increase it higher and higher kind of like YouTube does, because they know that if they don't, we're going to go to these platforms like Twitch, or like YouTube, to where they're going to pay us, and they're also going to allow others on the platform like even Facebook just launched this new app to where you can, you can leave stars, your audience as they're watching a live stream can actually pay you we could implement it right now on our live streams can actually pay you. It's simple Stacey, it's like, it's like, Have you ever bought something on like on your phone, or it's just Apple Pay, you just click it.

Stacy: Oh yeah.

Dave: Well, there's, there's, there's an app, a function or a feature that they just launched on Facebook to where you can send somebody stars in pay them while you're watching their live stream the same exact way with the same ease you don't even have to put in your credit card information, with the same ease that you can unlike unlike Apple Pay, so if you guys think that, that there's a lot of opportunity out there right now or if you're thinking that somehow you missed the boat. It's just getting started.

Stacy: Oh yeah, yeah, opportunity is everywhere, brilliant, like I truly believe that.

Dave: Yeah, well listen, You have given us so graciously, an hour of your time this morning, and I know it was so impactful, you've gained tons of fans. You know, now if many people already said they already know you but I just think we still much for your time. Congratulations on your success. And, you know, hopefully we can twist your arm and get you back for another episode here in a couple of months.

Stacy: Oh yeah, I'm not going anywhere anytime soon, so I'll be here forever. Whenever you need something, Stacy will tell your husband that I said hello and give it to your family. Our best, and we'll talk to you later.

Stacy: All right, all right. Okay, thanks. Bye everyone.

Dave: See you Stacy. All right, listen, I'm just gonna say this and then we're going to end there was so much gold in that episode, that if you, if you don't go back and mine the pieces out. You're You're insane. Like, seriously, even for me, there's bits and pieces to go back and listen to to just tease apart in terms of training algorithms and in terms of her process. Yeah, Ruby says it was an amazing interview, Lucinda, tons of love for Stacy and that I mean these episodes are awesome. And I think one of the coolest things that I like is also having returned guests like Stacey was on a couple of months ago and it's been really cool to watch her journey like back then she was just kind of like taken off a little bit and I think she was, you know, she was kind of like, I don't know like, Is this happening like and now she knows it's happening like she knows that she's earned it. She owns it, and it's awesome to see somebody sort of step into their power. So, anyways, you're not here folks. Have a fantastic day, be Legendary. And we'll see you back here again tomorrow 10am Eastern time. Peace.

Dave: Yo yo yo what is going on guys this is Dave Sharpe. Welcome to Wake Up Legendary, and as usual, we have a awesome guest this morning I'm really excited for you guys to hear from her and I’m gonna bring her out and just a moment and her name is Lori, and it's gonna be a great show if you're new to Legendary and this is one of the first interactions or experiences the we wanna welcome you, we wanna let you know that we are here five days a week doing the show, on top of all the other events and curriculum and things that we have going on here, inside of our community. And so, sit down, put your seatbelt on, get ready for the ride of your life. Okay, and, and, and whatever your goals are, whatever you want to achieve, most likely you are short changing yourself, okay. And so now let's hear from somebody else, somebody who is a client, a student here, somebody who's a member of our community, our family here at legendary Lori Richardson. Lori, welcome to the show.

Lori: Thanks Dave. Good morning.

Dave: Hey, You're Welcome and good morning to you where. Where are you calling in from?

Lori: Southern Oregon.

Dave: That's right. I thought you were in Oregon but I didn't want to assume so, welcome from the west coast where you are three hours behind me so good, good, early morning to you.

Lori: Yeah, I got up much earlier than normal. This morning.

Dave: We appreciate that we appreciate you getting up and making time for us here to share your experience so you are somebody who, who I've gotten to know, and I've really enjoyed getting to know, I enjoyed watching you take action and get results, and begin this journey. So many people set out on. But, but they, you know, it's, it's just tends to be a challenge for people because they maybe have unrealistic expectations, maybe they, they, for whatever reason, but I've seen you just take consistent action to keep a positive attitude, because of that you've, you've gotten results, you've not gotten rich overnight, but you're, you're building confidence, you're growing it, you know, obviously, I'm really proud of you and happy for your progress, so. So how does it feel to be kind of where you're at three months into your blueprints and coaching client here at Legendary as well. And that's how I've, for those of you wondering, that's how I've gotten to know. How does it feel to be, you know, three months into this, and, and, at least, I, I'm super happy and proud of you. Do you also feel a sense of accomplishment and see and feel the growth as well?

Lori: Absolutely. I feel like I'm right on track. I did not expect this to get rich quick. Obviously, I literally expected… I didn't expect a lot of the things that have happened for me so far but as far as where I am with the business Excel itself. It's definitely a marathon not a sprint and I'm, I'm doing all the training to make it to the end, you know, and it's, it's really exciting. I'm learning so much every day trying to put it into action. I didn't set my expectations really high as far as income that I'm bringing in right away and I think that helps a lot. I've owned a business for 23 years that was started out, not being online just because of my age and what the technology was when I started it but ended up online. And I know that that first year, you're not going to make as much as you would necessarily like to but that's, a year to year for growth. So I went into this, eyes wide open, knowing that.

Dave: Well that's great I mean, I think you have such and you have made money you have gotten results. I mean, for those of you who are wondering if she's actually, you know, quote unquote, making money. Yes, she is how much, quite frankly, it's, it's, it's none of your business. And and the reason why is, why it's none of your business is because her results are not going to be your results. Anyways, you may get more, you may get less. You may have a different growth, you're absolutely going to have a different growth path than Lori does but what I respect about you so much is that you have just such a healthy perspective about what it actually takes to build a business and what it takes to build anything. I mean, anything that you build that's going to last, it's going to be worthwhile. It takes time, in that first year, like you said, is such an important year to lay the foundation. So, talk to us a little bit about what your, what the major milestones for you have been over these past three months. What are some of the things that you look back and you say, that was a big growth moment or this is something that I've really overcome and I can feel the growth in this area?

Lori: Well I've had several of those I mean, starting with just actually posting things on social media, putting my face out, you know I liked all of us went on Tik Tok originally to just amuse ourselves and I think I, my personal account I have one post, that's my cats. So actually putting my face out there and, and talking to people, trying to do, talking, trying to talk, just to one person at a time through the camera versus everyone out there, you know, trying to make those connections online. That is, this was one of my first milestones. As recently, the biggest one that I'm working on with you is just following up with the email campaigns, learning, working more with my copywriting skills because that is something that is so crucial in the marketing of any type. So, I feel like I'm getting close to a breakthrough there. It's that the challenge you have given me I'm working, I'm striving forward with it and I will make that at the end of the month. So when we meet in our next group call, I'll be able to say, Yep, I did it here it is.

Dave: That's great, it's interesting, I want to talk a little bit about coaching for a second, my wife woke up this morning and she said well, I hired a sleep coach for the baby right in, and I just thought, I said to her I said well, if you want really any results in any area then, the best way to get it is to hire a coach, right, if you want great results in fitness, you're, I guarantee you no matter how motivated you are and no matter how much you know about fitness. If you hire a coach to push you and to challenge you, and to do a lot of the thinking for you in terms of, like, what, what you should be working on this month. Instead of trying to conjure up the vision in the, in the task in all this and then go and execute it. Right, well one of the reasons why I love a fitness coach is because he does the thinking in terms of what I need to be working on right he I don't have to think of the exercise I just do them. But, you know, my wife hired a sleeping coach for a baby just to get some extra tips just to just to, to figure out what she knows from working with hundreds of other babies. So, what is your, what was your thought when you invested in our, in the blueprints and coaching, most people would look at that as a cost. What was your perspective going into that and how do you view coaching and accountability, just in general?

Lori: Well, just getting the feedback from someone that has done it successfully is huge. And I love helping set my goals for me with me. Not for me. And having accountability because I'm the type of person that once that has been verbalized, not just myself but to other people. And if I, I tried to keep my word and if I tell you, yeah, Dave, I'm gonna do that. It makes me way more determined to accomplish that. I also. It makes me so proud of myself when I do accomplish that and I can say, you know, well, I did that, and the coaching has really really helped me because there have also been times that I'm a little. Having someone with your experience to bounce that off of, is really crucial I feel for me. It's definitely, it was definitely an investment. And that is, that's how I viewed it, it was not just an expense, which by the way can be written off. But it is. It is definitely an investment and it's not just an investment in my business but it's an investment in myself.

Dave: Yeah, yeah, I think that a lot of times, the benefits you know I've had I've had all kinds of different clients over the years, I've even got lots of different clients right now. Right. And I don't. I don't have favorites. I just have ones that I can see that this person is really, is this real, this person really is, is, is going to get a lot out of this, and, and maybe where somebody else isn't, and that has nothing to do with me, right, that has everything to do with with how the person uses the coaching, you know, and, and, so, you know, one of the things that I think is is really important. And for a lot of us we come into this, this, this environment, and we've never had coaching before we've never had training before. What I think a lot of people come into coaching and. And this is essentially coaching. We're here, educating learning, growing, and sometimes people don't really know how to be good mentees, or students, they think that it's a power thing, like I'm less than and that person's better than and so they might feel insecure might feel like, Like, you know like inferior or something and, of course, nobody wants to feel in fear, and then and than other people in coaching don't really know how, what questions to ask whatever. So what has your experience been with getting the most out of a coaching experience, because you're certainly growing you have a positive attitude about it? I feel like you're utilizing the coat as well. And so, what, what, what tips would you give to people who actually are seeking mentorship in some capacity to actually get the most out of the experience to make sure that they grow the most during that time period?

Lori: I would say probably to, first of all, don't be intimidated. I was that first month it was like, Oh crap, this day. Don't be intimidated. Listen to what they have to say, take, take the challenge. They are, they will challenge you, and they will. They're in it for helping you. So, you know, listen to what they have to say, and if there is any type of comments they give you is not cutting you down. They're not criticizing you, they're literally just trying to help you succeed. And don't let don't get down on yourself. If you fall a little short of what their expectations are just show some growth. Baby steps. And that's, I'm making a lot of baby steps forward. And sometimes, sometimes I make a huge leap forward and I think that it's. Don't be disappointed if it's a baby step. Huge leaps are great but Baby Steps Get You There is also just a little slower.

Dave: Yeah. Yeah. Somebody else said you don't want to feel like you're bugging, a mentor, right, and that probably is something that's really common I know that that's something that came up, common in, in, in recovery, you know I've had sponsors in different mentors and coaches in recovery as well as business and yeah you don't want to feel like you're bugging them. But I want to give you guys all a little bit of a quick little tool, a quick little resource that can help you to not feel like you're bugging them. And, and, and if you use this tool, it will essentially help you to get what you want by asking better questions and asking better answers, but also when you go to ask a coach or mentor or someone for support or guidance, you can know that you've already taken certain steps to that you've done your homework, and that you're not just asking the mentor to do all the work for you. So I call this getting what you want by asking better questions and getting better answers. And what this is is this is basically a checklist to kind of go through and ask yourself Have I have I sort of checked all the boxes before I go and I ask a question now this can be a format that you can use in a Facebook group. If you ask a question, it can be a format that you use to send a mentor or a coach, a question, it can really be a format that you use to ask anybody a question right because it helps you to build personal responsibility and do as much homework as you can before you ask the question. So the mentor the coach doesn't feel like you're just trying to get them to do all the work for you, because I don't care what like think about it in athletics or sports if you were trying to Ask your coach to come out and throw the ball for you, they're gonna say, get like, literally get off the team like this is, I, I'm the coach I'm over here right it would be ridiculous. So a lot of times when we come into a sort of a personal counseling or coaching situation or a business coaching situation, particularly in this industry. There's a misunderstanding about what a coach is really what their role is in their role is to help you to find the answers within you first, if they can. And then if you have or need that you know the answers because you just literally don't have that experience, then they can give you their experience, but really never tell you exactly what to do because ultimately you have to make the decision, right, and you may be saying Well, Dave, if I hire a coach I want that coach to tell me exactly what to do. But the problem is is that if they tell you exactly what to do, then a lot of times you're just going to buck it because nobody likes to be told what to do, right, so it's it's it's it's a it's a delicate road to travel, and it's really important to hire somebody who is experienced coaching. And out of all my years of experience in coaching, this is one of the tools that I've come up that I think is one of the most helpful. So, how to get what you want by asking better questions and getting better, better answers first get clear on what simplify clear, simplify, clarify and then briefly and clearly explain what you've tried already. Right. So you ask the question. Here's my question. Here's what I've tried already outline what you think the solution might be so to lessen the workload for whoever the, the, you know, the coach or the person that's answering the question, right, ask respectfully and humbly for feedback or thoughts and let the coach know that you'd be grateful for their help. Congrats asking for bench strength not a weakness. Now if someone has time to help and they might not so don't take it personally just ask him to be in later. Make sure to put it into action, and then update whoever helped on how their advice, worked, or if it didn't work, but make sure to take responsibility for that outcome, no matter what. Right. And what's really important about this process are these first three pieces because a lot of times we don't really get clear on what our question is so there's this a bunch of back and forth or we don't really get the answer that we're looking for. We don't try other things we just throw something that somebody else hopes for them to just sum up. We don't like, do any work mentally to try to figure out an outline of what the solution might be, which is really useful when you're working with somebody for them to know that you're also, you know, brainstorming and thinking for yourself. So, I know you've heard me go over that tool before, Lori, but what comes up for you as I kind of go over the some of these outlooks that I have about coaching, like, you know, finding that helping somebody find the answers within themselves, you know, some of these pieces that I've just gone over what comes up for you and, and what, what, what advice would you have maybe for people who, who, you know, are, are looking for a coach, but more looking for somebody to kind of maybe do it for them instead of understand the power of having somebody help to empower them, what what's coming up for you?

Lori: Well, a couple things. Mainly, if they do it for you, you're not going to learn, you know, this is your business and you are for this particular you know looking at it here. It's your business, it's not their business, you need to know how to run it, and to solve these things after you stop having that coach if you're just expecting them to do it for you. You know, you might as well just close the doors now because it's, it's not going to your business won't last long. If you don't learn it.

Dave: They won't last long, and that's a great point. I mean, the, the way that I coach is, is, I don't, I don't want to have people dependent on me. Right, right. I don't want that it's not about, you know there's a lot of marketers who, there's one marketer in specific he's a mentor. And he, he prides himself on people, re, you know, re, re upping on his coaching, year after year, and that's fine if they, if they, if people want to do that but, but, you know, if you're going to work with somebody, then ultimately the best coaches that I've ever had have a goal of the of the mentee being independent. Sort of like, you know, sort of like working in housing. My wife used to work in a homeless shelter where they would bring people in from the streets, give them housing, and then ultimately the next step would be they would help them get up an apartment, and kind of go out on their own and be independent and, and that is sort of the philosophy that I have about coaching as well. Now is that the best thing for my pocketbook. Right. Well, no, I mean if it sure would be better for my pocketbook if I received coaching clients for 10 years and convinced them every you know, to put on a big sales pitch in the last month of their coaching term to get them to re-up. But that, you know, I think it's to look for a coach and look for a mentor. Mentors, who are also mentally and emotionally healthy, and will actually put you over profits you the client you the person over profits, I know you work in a minute, you know, we've got a medical facility but it's in a mental health facility, and mental health is a big part of your life as well. Right. What would you, where do you see the correlation between good mental health and positive results in life, and also business?

Lori: Boy that's, I can tell you, having worked in mental health. It is… Your whole life is affected by how you feel about yourself. If you are, if you don't feel good about yourself. You're not going to be successful in relationships, you're not going to be successful in your business, you're going to be most likely miserable. So, I've been there, you know, it's I've been through a lot of shit, and getting out of it is not fun, but getting once you're out of it. Life changes, and that's what my last several years have have been is just suffer I suffered a lot of losses all kind of one right after the other and go got my mind right, just working on, on it and that's, that's when I started this, you know this venture is, you know, I, my, my body, I lost 50 pounds over this last year which was exciting thing for me so I changed my, my health is better. My mind is better. It's time to, you know, get the rest of my life going forward, and this was a great new step for me to do that.

Dave: Yeah, I can tell you that you said, feeling good about yourself, is, is, is important. I have a belief that self esteem is the bedrock of success, how you feel about yourself, is, is, is everything. If any of you guys consider yourself struggling in your business. Your business is probably not the only area that you feel is struggling, if, if you look at all of the different areas of your life. Usually there's a pattern and it overlaps and it's not just we don't just struggle in one area, while the other areas are blossoming and blooming in doing great. Whenever I've struggled in my business, or I was unclear or I felt like I wasn't making progress. Ironically, I felt similar about my marriage. I felt similar about my fatherhood. I felt similar about my health or whatever I felt similar about my recovery. Right, so. So the first step of actually being successful as an entrepreneur, ironically, is, is, is, is not only building self esteem, but it's combining the mechanics, which is what we're all interested in, what's the funnel builder? What's the auto response, where do I click, click, click, click, click, pull the lever right and money is going to explode out of my computer? No. It combined those panics, which are important. With those dynamics, those dynamics being self esteem building activities. Now, what are self esteem building activities inside of our business. Well, Lori, you said you lost 50 pounds over the past year? I would assume that I built massive amounts of self esteem for you, am I right. Oh yeah. And what were, what, what were some of the components of you losing that 50 pounds that helped you do that? I'm looking for things like consistency.

Lori: Absolutely, yeah, it's just changing habits, you know, I'm drinking water, I didn't drink water, because I don't like the flavor, you know.

Dave: yes, there is no flavor.

Yeah, well, city water is nasty. I'm sorry, I lived, we lived out in the woods, we had new and nice water versus having chlorinated pool water. So I, that was a huge change for me is to start drinking a lot of water, and, you know, just the habits of sitting in front of the TV eating from the time I got home until the time I went to bed, you know those getting rid of those habits, was really crucial, and it. In doing so, that also freed me up and allowed me to do other things beyond that, as well as knowing that I can take charge and I can make change for myself, and by doing so, you know I have the health benefits, my mind is, is much better. I think clearer, you know there are a lot of things that came with that weight loss.

Dave: I'm going somewhere with this thank you and congratulations for that, where I'm going with this is those same sort of blueprints to losing that much way that's, that's hard work, I mean I know that that is hard work that that takes to follow through and consistency and changing of habits, and just in, in, you know, it's it's takes, it takes good, solid, it doesn't it's not doesn't take a lot of work just takes, takes consistent work over time. Right. And, and the same thing applies with our business, you know, The one thing that I know and I saw another successful entrepreneur that I respect say this the other day, the single most important component of us being successful in business is consistency. It's literally consistent. It's literally if I'm going to try, if I want to get better at writing copy. I'm not going to just take a course and magically just become a world class copywriter, I have to take what I learned in the course, and apply it consistently over time. And part of the learning experience is actually applying that education, and then tweaking it over time. So tying that back into self esteem and how we feel about ourselves and our mental health. If I do those positive aspects, those stealable actions out of my business. Over time, I literally will become more confident because I feel better about myself, the more I shoot tic tock videos, the better I will be on video, the better, more confident I will feel there's not just I see people asking all the time, it's like well how do you know I've done put up two videos and I haven't had any sales yet and I've just been wondering what I'm doing wrong. Well what you're doing wrong is nothing, absolutely nothing you're not doing anything wrong, you just, you've only put up two videos. That's a freckle on the pimple of a gnat's ass compared to a career, right, of actually doing something for a consistent period of time I know marketers who put up two videos on tick tock before 10am You know, every day. So, these, you know, this, this, this mental health how we feel about ourselves, I believe it's the number one most not talked about topic in entrepreneurship. And the marketers and the entrepreneurs that I know who are the most successful are the ones who literally had, you know, had some skills and maybe had some success but crashed, and then said, timeout, I need to take care of myself. I need to go to therapy, I need to get myself right, and I need to develop some healthy personal habits and start taking care of my mental, emotional and physical health. And then when they showed back up all of the other clutter and the distractions in the stuff, like, you know, all that was calmer, they were out of crisis mode, And they could actually show up to their business focused, full of full of confidence, full of full of, you know, with the ability to be consistent and not distracted, and I feel like that is, I get that vibe when I work in talk to you, Lori, that you have put mental and emotional health, as a priority, and that is one of the reasons why you're moving forward and growing and progressing at the rate that you are. Would you agree with that?

Lori: Yes, yes. I had to get my mind right, I just, I needed to be able to trust myself, I needed to be able to make it, you know, I, I had a lot of years where I didn't, and I have that, and I feel good about it, and consistency persistent, you know, not giving up all those things that came with that.

Dave: Yeah, I want to talk to everybody who's listening very briefly and give you just an opportunity of a lifetime, an opportunity of a lifetime. And what that opportunity is is to use this journey of building your business as exactly what Laurie said when she lost 50 pounds, right. If you have not accomplished something by just simply sticking with it. If you have not built in filled up your self esteem gas tank in a long time. If you're writing literally on e, if you're a steam is writing on E. You have the perfect opportunity right now, not only to make money, because I know that's the care that everybody chases you have an opportunity not only to make money, but you have an opportunity to fill your self esteem gas tank up your confidence, gas tank up by following through, in being consistent and overcoming challenges in sticking with this for a significant period of time until you do get sizable results, which will then take that's when compound self esteem interest kicks in. Because once you have loaded self esteem and you've stuck with it for long enough that you've gained traction. That's when your results go to the moon, and that's what a lot of these folks that you've seen that you guys look around on the internet, TikTok, YouTube whatever you see these marketers who have taken off people look at me what's my, what's my secret? Well, I've been doing this for 10 years plus. I've been doing affiliate marketing and coaching and creating courses and following through with stuff, I mean I was a low self esteem mass in constant crisis mode when I started, and I had to push through in my recovery, I had to constantly put out fires, and I had to keep coming back to that well of building self esteem, outside of my business, and inside of my business by persevering through. And over time. Time has allowed me time, things I must earn time has allowed my success to compound to where now it's it's at the point to where, you know, it's, it's, you know, it's at a place that I never thought that it would be, where, where I'm not I'm not the hunter I'm the hunted. Right, but I've been hunting for a long time. Right, meaning that I'm not chasing people I'm not asking for people things, you know, success tends to bind me now. Right, but that's only because I've built this sort of self esteem kind of this, this, this, this self esteem kingdom that's what all my success is built on is self esteem, it's it's it's been, you know this rigorous, personal development that I've done. It's not just been sharing memes Laurie on Facebook, it's been going to therapy it's been, you know, following through with a working on my marriage, it's been leaning into my business, you know, focusing, when, when I got bored just focusing anyways and not switching gears and going off to another shiny thing. So, you're three months into this, where do you see, what are some of the goals that you have for yourself over the course of the next nine months, that will kind of bring you to that one year marker?

Lori: To be able to build the. Gosh. Now, in the next nine months I want to be able to have the mechanics down better. I'm still working on the mechanics, I'm three months in. I'm alright with that I'm working on more follow up through emails through reaching out to clients and helping them with getting their businesses started that is, you know, definitely I want that to be in a more more part of the business because that's not what I'm, I don't have a lot of that right now I'm answering questions but I want to be able to work a little closer with people. I want to. Gosh, I want to be able to take time off. I'm working full time plus, I'm working on my business a lot on that when I'm not at my other, you know, my, my day job I want to be able to go and then see my kids I want you know those are all the goals that I have and I know that by the this year is going to be a busy year, and I'm alright with that. But I want to be able to get to the point that I can walk on my own.

Dave: So, your why has tweaked a little bit. Okay, your why has tweaked a little bit, you obviously you want to travel, you want to see your kids but you also want to, you also now feel passionate about this online marketing kind of this this opportunity, and you're, you're, you're excited to share it with people, tell, tell us how your why has evolved. And we you know your internal motivation and your why, where it was when you started maybe more specifically being all about you, you, you, you, you, and now it's moved and sort of morphed into also adding an element of being of service to others and actually using your business to serve people and help them help themselves.

Lori: Well as people have reached out to me, even just three months worth of experience doing this. At first it was really intimidating, speaking with people trying to, you know that imposter syndrome, but I know I am helping people. I'm answering questions and people really appreciate it and appreciate the time I spend with them, and that is very rewarding. I want people to be able to experience the freedoms that I am starting to achieve, and I want them to be able to, you know, not have their kids at the babysitter, all day, you know letting babysitters, raise their children. I want those things for other people, It's, it's part of my nature. I've been a caretaker, all my life and, and, you know, now my kids are grown. It's just me and it's time for me to, to experience a lot of different things I haven't been able to, and I still am a caretaker at heart, you know, I want to I want to help, and it feels good to do so.

Dave: That's great. I think a lot of people can relate to that. Now, do you feel cared for? Then, and then give and then being a marketer who gives calls to action and then has to transition from that caretaking role to also then that call here's my call to action for you to actually go and do something, buy something, take some action, get a training etc. Do you feel that there's any conflict there with you, is that a muscle that you've needed to grow?

Lori: Absolutely. I do a lot of talking with people and knowing that, I mean a lot of the people I'm helping have already started Legendary, you know, I'm, I'm helping people that I'm not getting any money for it. I'm not spending, you know, an hour at a time with them at this point but I, I could just say sorry you bought from someone else, but that's not, that's not my nature. So, you know I'm doing what I can to help if I can help.

Dave: Yeah, so one of the suggestions that I would, I would give to you is in everybody is if you do help somebody, then there is something that you can get out of that, that will actually help you in your business you can actually ask them for a testimonial and have them shoot you a little short little 32nd testimonial that you can then use and build up your testimonial file folder, that, that you can use on future sales pages current landing pages bridge pages, sales pages email follow ups. You know, if somebody asked for references or referrals if you're ever selling coaching or something like that, you can easily just set to a page that has all of your testimonials on it right so testimonials can be one of the most powerful things that we get inside of our business, right, it's a third party validation invoice from somebody else, and it literally nowadays, take somebody 30 seconds to record it on a on a on a cell phone or a loom video and just send it to you, and just, you can even give them instructions, like hey would you be open to, you know, recording me a quick testimonial that I can use in my marketing to acquire other clients and coaching clients and other clients of products I'm selling in the future, and you can have a little one page document that just gives them a couple of helpful tips about what to say in the testimonial so you actually get exactly what you're looking for, and exactly what would help you, you know, because it's, there's nothing wrong with guiding and leading people, coaching them about the type of testimonial that you're looking for. So anyways, I just wanted to offer you that because, especially early in our careers, one of the smartest things we can do is be of service to other people in ways that maybe we don't get paid for, but we can build up that testimonial portfolio, and that really, really is beneficial for us, it can be beneficial. right away. When we start to put those on our bridge pages and landing pages and stuff like that. Does that make sense Lori?

Lori: That makes great sense, that is such a great idea, I jotted it down real quick, that's, I will do that. It never even occurred to me so that's, that's wonderful.

Dave: Thank you, and I would even go back to the old you that you've written to me, literally, each every single one of you guys it's like, it's like every conversation that you have. You can turn around and ask somebody for Hey, I, I hope this interaction this conversation helped. Was it helpful to you? Was it valuable to you, and you get that? Yes, it was, Hey, you know, it would be really helpful to me, it is a quick little testimonial, right, little 30 seconds here's kind of a one pager about what I'm looking for. I'd really appreciate it if you take 20, 30 seconds and just record a minute, whatever, and just record something for it. I'm telling you guys, it's, it's, it's, it's a big deal, it's a big, big, big deal, and as you begin to expand your business, even if you're just, even if you're just doing affiliate marketing, but if you expand into courses or doing your own protein those testimonials can be priceless. They can be priceless.

Lori: That's such a great idea.

Dave: Yeah, you're welcome. And so, we always want to make sure that, and that's one of the things that I, one of the reasons why I asked I think for so many people who are not, you know, I believe, being successful is not about being good at sales, and I believe that sales is not even about being good at sales, what is sales, I don't even know, sales is just when a transaction happens, what it's called getting what you want in life. And you know how to get what you want in life? Ask for it. That's how you get it. There's no other way. You can be the best person in the world, the most deserving person in the world. And you can serve the whole world, you can just give your entire life, in that if you sit back, you will not get anything in return, except the feel good feelings inside but you know what good feelings inside. Unfortunately, I wish they did just like I wish good looks paid bills, they don't. They don't, they don't pay bills. Right, so the way that we get what we want is we ask for it, and I think that this is a huge takeaway, particularly for all of you who are caretakers, in our have a servant's r, and then you get into marketing, it's like, well, I'm helping a lot of people but I'm not getting what I want and need, and what we have to learn how to do, and this is, whether we're on the phone and doing phone sales all day or whether we're marketing or what we have to learn to ask what we want, and in need with to ask for. We have to ask for that and that's how I train salespeople. Your biggest job is to bring people to a decision. Ask them for the sale, and to ask them for a yes or a no, it doesn't have to be a yes, a nose just as good because at least you've closed the conversation. You've brought you didn't leave an open ended cover, well maybe I'll get back to you see that's just lying to each other. I'll call you back. Let me think about it, that's just lying. Instead we have to make it okay for people to say no. We have to be able to restock. We have to go nose, because at least we're putting a period on the end of a conversation instead of a dot dot dot dot dot. Right. So with all of these actions that we're all taking every day. The number one thing that we need to remember that if I want to get more leads, I need to ask for more emails. If I want to get more sales I need to ask for people to click more links, I need to direct them, I need to ask them specifically if I want to get more testimonials if I want to get more of this. I got to ask for it. If I want to get more guidance, if I want to get more insight from the crew from a coach, I get to ask for it. Right and I think that that's just a big major takeaway, Laurie for all of us who are caretakers or he feel like we have a great servant's heart, but we're having a difficult time making that transition over to like kind of hardcore marketer right it's like how do I blend these two skills together well, it's really just about, what did I, what did I ask for in this email. Did I ask for anything in this conversation, or did I feel guilty or bad about it? Right, that's a muscle that we have to condition is asking for things because sometimes we feel guilty asking. Oh, I don't want to ask them, I don't want to ask for anything. I don't do it on my own. Right. But the only person that you're hurting when you don't ask for things is just yourself, right, because then you don't get your needs met. And what that's called is codependency. Right, and that's called people pleasing, that's where we put everybody before our own self. So we have to become equals in this game. And in order for me to, and that's another self esteem building tool if I'm doing something, I’m interacting in a situation, say it's a friendship and then I'm give, give, give, give, give, listen, listen, listen to your problems talk talk talk about you, but then I don't ask about me hey you know what I need right now? One of the things I learned, Lori, I just sometimes needed to be held by my wife to heal that inner child that little boy in me, I just, I need you to just hold me baby. I learned to ask for my needs, you know, I, this is adult conversation- a lot of you guys are sexually frustrated in your relationships, just because you're not asking, ask. Maybe I really, I just wondered, I'm looking at you, you're so sexy and I'm just, I'm just wondering if we can make time for each other tonight? You know what I mean, like sometimes we just don't we just don't ask so anyways, I'm ranting here, what's coming up for you I want to give you the final word and also bring this conversation in for a landing but what's coming up for you as I'm ranting about this, asking for stuff Lori?

Lori: Well, that we've all heard it needs to call to action. You know, you need to ask them to do something, you know, You need to absolutely call to action. Click that link in the bio, you know, let's follow, you know, comments, whatever. Please, by, you know, they don't. Hopefully they'll, you know thanks but, but no. You know that, that absolutely is. Makes perfect sense, and that carries over, like you said that's a life skill that's to be able to do that.

Dave: So, overall, if somebody like yourself brand new three months ago was sitting on a checkout page or thinking about getting involved in Legendary Marketer, what would you say to that person.

I would say do it absolutely, it will change your life, not just making money, but there are so many other things that you will get from doing marketing online marketing, Legendary marketing, I can tell you if you're looking. It is. It is Legendary corny, sorry, but there are, you know, The community is fantastic. Oh my gosh, the support is great from your peers, and from obviously from the staff and Dave and Matt and Roxy and everyone that's, that's out there, helping us. I would do it because you. It will give you the freedoms that you're looking for, it will give you the support, the resources will be there, you know, with you for life. Pretty much if you buy the blueprints. Do the blueprints, oh my gosh, if there's any way you can afford it, do the blueprints. They are more advanced skills. They work with you longer, harder. I would jump on it, you will absolutely not be sorry.

Dave: Well that was quite a testimonial thank you for that Lori.

I just believe that, you know, there's, there's different people in different mindsets here even in our community. And so we have to be really careful about who we associate with who we who we're listening to, who we're getting information from, who we're talking to, and Lori is the type of person, the model type of person to have in your corner, and also to model her mindset and behavior, because just in three months. How A Full Time CNA Grew 15.6K Followers on Tik Tok

David Sharpe bio

Callie Vernon is a 22 year old Legendary Marketer client from Missouri who works as a full time CNA with an affiliate marketing side hustle. Before affiliate marketing, Callie was in college for nursing. College just wasn’t for her, and she disliked it very much. She researched dropshipping and Amazon FBA but felt like that wasn’t a good fit for her either. She knew someone who was in Legendary Marketer and after being told it was legit, she decided to check it out for herself.

Callie got Covid-19 in October and after that realized that she was tired of feeling sad all the time and tired of stressing over money. She felt like The 15 Day Challenge blew her away. She’s seen affiliate marketing everywhere in her life but didn’t realize how much of it was around her all her life and how simple it was to her.

She had always wanted to find a way to make money online. Coming from a small town where there’s not a lot of people, she didn’t know if that was possible, until one day Tik Tok showed her that it was. Throughout her life growing up, Callie didn’t have much of a social media presence if any. She didn’t ever think she would have an audience.

She only knew about 50 or so people in real life, so when she made her first thousand followers on Tik Tok it blew her mind. “I was only a consumer for so long and then when you become a creator your whole mind changes,” Callie said. She likes that she can see where she is able to help people and make money at the same time and that makes it so much more worth it to her.

Callie’s Tik Tok: @hey_itscal

Having An Open Mind and Putting Your Best Foot Forward

Callie instantly saw the strategies people were using and how they were promoting products, building email lists, and so much more. When Callie gets on Tik Tok, she sees the same videos everyone else sees. She also sees that the videos that are there to help people do something really outshine against the rest and that’s what it’s all about. The people that help other people on Tik tok are the ones that keep getting an audience.

Eventually Callie realized that she could have been doing this the whole time. Her mindset offline is realistic as far as less opportunity in a small town, but once she gets online and is in front of so many people that opportunity level raises. Now she has a much bigger customer based audience than she could have had in real life.

Callie shifts herself into a mindset of seeing opportunity and sees herself becoming successful in what she is doing. Callie says that the best way to do this is to just have an open mind. The successful people that you are watching on Tik Tok every day have been here much longer than you. It takes time and you have to find what works for you and what doesn’t. “It always has to do and start with the mindset and you have to have a growth mindset because you have to realize that it’s gonna take time, it’s not gonna happen overnight. All these people that you’re seeing, they were on every single social media platform before Tik Tok,” Callie said.

Callie feels like the way she has reached so many people from her Tik Tok account has been powerful. Along with that, she feels thankful. It’s just something to discover this and actually do it and follow through and see results and keep going because a lot of people want to give up when they don’t make a sale one day,” Callie said.

For most of her life social media made her feel powerless. Even in the small town she was from she had always felt like she needed to post on social media to get people to like her. There was always a lot of pressure to be on social media. When she saw so many different people around the world and bought into what the social media standards project on the younger generations, she felt insecure.

Using Self Affirmations To Push Yourself For Success

Life is a lot more clear for Callie now, after stopping her college education and dropping the nursing career. She felt like she wasn’t in a good place from age 19-20 because of how stressful she felt, especially in college doing something she didn’t really want to do. Life felt really hard and heavy for her at that time. She knew she wanted to make money online, and didn’t know where to start.

Callie uses a lot of self affirmation to get herself feeling pumped up and ready to be successful. She says to tell yourself how amazing you are and that you can do it, and even if it sounds cheesy, to just say it in your head until you believe it.

Callie sees herself doing affiliate marketing as a full time career and wants to turn her side hustle into full time eventually. “Affiliate marketing gave me a clear path on how I was going to live the rest of my life however I wanted to,” Callie said. She feels like she has gotten so much clarity of this turning into an actual full time job and career.

Callie says that entrepreneurship teaches you how to take personal responsibility instead of needing someone else to encourage you. There is a difference between being supported and being motivated. Discipline is the biggest thing that you need. She says that you can be as motivated as you want but nothing will get down unless you’re disciplined enough to sit down and do it. “You have to voluntarily discomfort yourself to get comfortable,” Callie said.

Callie says that she has never come across anything like Legendary Marketer. It’s a good community of people who all want the same thing- to be successful. The internet is so big that there’s not a lot of close competition, and you’re likely always going to be able to find people that like something that you like.

Turning Your Story Into Inspiration and Creating Affiliate Income While You Do It

Kelly Olson is a Legendary client who has turned her life struggles into inspiration to her Tik Tok followers. As a mom of four kids, she was looking to do something that could give her more time at home with them. She gave up a career as a lawyer and took up a job as an administrative assistant. After getting divorced two years ago she knew she wanted to make more money. Her kids were active on Tik Tok so she decided to join in. Legendary Marketer was a popular topic and she decided to sign up.

If anyone had told Kelly six months ago that she would be on Tik Tok, Wake Up Legendary, and going live fairly often she would have laughed. Since the Covid-19 pandemic began she feels like the need to work from home has accelerated. She had an internal shift about the way she wanted to live her life and how she had lived it up to this point, and knew she wanted to do more to really feel like she was living and be able to spend time with her kids.

Sharing Your Story With Your Followers To Inspire Them

Kelly has always been the quiet type. She didn’t voice her opinion, instead she did the ‘duck and cover’ and waited for time to pass so that she didn’t have to. Eventually she realized that staying quiet and never coming out of her shell was holding her back from being able to focus on her goals and her future. She then made the decision to change that, knowing she couldn’t live her life like that anymore. “I’m going to do whatever it takes to reach my goals and I’m going to do that for my kids too,” Kelly said.

In Kelly’s life growing up, she had a rough time. After coming from an abusive household she knew she had to unlearn a lot of the survival skills she had kept from childhood. She spent most of her life being quiet and trying to go unnoticed. “I went to school, I sat in the back of the class (and) I never raised my hand,” Kelly said. Going most of her life without a voice, she decided to get on Tik Tok to finally show the world that she had one.

Kelly went through a rough divorce with an abusive ex husband. She has been working through her trauma for two years in therapy. “The divorce was difficult but the 2 years since the divorce has been difficult,” Kelly said. She lost people who she thought were friends, and realized that there were people who weren’t going to know her side of the story, and that was okay. “You have to get comfortable with people not knowing your side of the story,” Kelly said, I’m not going to be quiet about my story.”

When Kelly first got on Tik Tok to make her first video, she felt stuck for a few weeks. She was afraid her ex husband might see her videos, and that brought a wave of fear over her. She knew she wanted to inspire others and let other people know that they weren’t alone, so she faced her fears and began her Tik Tok channel.

Kelly opened up with her followers about her childhood abuse, abusive marriage, and loss of family members from death. “Once you tell what’s actually happening, people have something to respond with,” Kelly said. She says that it’s powerful and life changing. She no longer hides her pain and struggles, and instead she faces them and is transparent with her followers about her life struggles. “If you want to see the skeletons I’ll open the door,” Kelly said.

Show Your Most Authentic Self To Relate To Your Audience

Kelly knew that in order to connect with others, she had to remain real and authentic. There is no reason to project an expert mindset to her followers, and she knew that the way to connect with her followers was by approaching them with a personal story and a helpful mindset. She wanted to develop connections that would take her much farther.

Kelly wanted to inspire her audience, and make sure they knew that they were not alone if they were going through something similar. She wanted her audience to be able to relate to her. Turning her struggles into strengths was important to her. Kelly wanted to use the shock and awe from speaking about her story to captivate her audience. She used vulnerability marketing so that her followers could see that she is a real person with real life struggles just like them.

Surround Yourself With A Positive Community That Will Push You To Succeed

A big part of both personal and business growth has to do with who you are surrounding yourself with. After losing so many people that she thought were her friends, she really wanted to surround herself with more positive uplifting people. It’s important to have a good support system, and an uplifting community. If your friends are invalidating your struggles and trauma, then surrounding yourself with a more positive community who wants to see you succeed will not only help your personal growth but your financial growth as well.

There are a lot of awesome people in the Legendary community and Kelly says she has met some of the smartest and kindest people here. She says that everyone is responsive and friendly and that she jumped on a zoom call with eight people from the Legendary community and ended up spending four hours on the call with them. “The community here is nothing like I’ve ever seen anywhere else. I’m so grateful I have met these people. They are so amazing and so generous with their knowledge and time and I am so appreciative,” Kelly said.

Three Keys To Be Successful In Life No Matter The Goal

David Sharpe bio

Erik Nilsen is a client and blueprint customer who has been with Legendary for a few months now. Straight out of high school, Erik served twelve years in the military. He went on to do sales job after sales job, eventually finding a good one he stuck with in a national grocery chain. He grew tired of working the 9-5 and wanted to take action. His three teenage daughters were on Tik Tok all the time, so he decided to get on Tik Tok too.

Eventually he found the affiliate marketing side on Tik Tok. Legendary Marketer was a popular topic, and he found himself purchasing The 15 Day Challenge. “The biggest thing to me was I really wanted to invest in myself,” Erik said, “I wanted to make sure that I wasn’t just paying $7 (or) that I would pay $7 and then go lay on the couch and forget about it, I wanted to invest that money into myself, into my future, (and) into my kids so I could spend more time with them and have a better life.”

In early December of last year (2020) he sat down, watched all of the training, built his sales funnel, and got his first campaign up and running. Two days later he was making video after video on Tik Tok and began his channel. Through the coaching he’s received at Legendary he  was told what to adjust on his Tik Tok videos. He was given constructive criticism, tips, and pointers and once he changed around some things in his videos, the commissions started to roll in.

Erik put work into his Tik Tok channel, built it up, and saw the results come out of it. For him, that wasn’t something he had seen before, especially being so new to affiliate marketing. “I joined the program, I learned everything I could, spent an entire month sitting on my couch going ‘yeah I’ll do it tomorrow’, but once I finally did it I’ve seen the results,” Erik said. Since then he has been tracking his progress and adjusting things in his videos that weren’t working. “When something’s not working, take a look at it and adjust it,” Erik said.

Getting results was one of the most valuable things to Erik when it came to growing in his career and business. “I’m better than just taking orders all day, I want to live a life that I want to live, I don’t want to live somebody else’s life and when I’m working that hard I want to see results,” Erik said. This was especially true for Erik after so many years in the grocery chain on a 9-5.

Key #1: Keeping Your Content Consistent To Track Your Results

Erik follows three keys to success that have helped him along his affiliate marketing journey. The first and biggest one being consistency. Erik says you have to be consistent in everything you do. If you are consistent, it is easiest to keep track of your results so that you can figure out what isn’t performing as well, and tweak it and change it.

Last year, Erik lost 60 pounds in his weight loss journey. He did this by going to the gym, having healthier eating habits, using My Fitness Pal to track his calories, and by continuing to do all of this consistently every day. When he began going to the gym he even got a personal trainer to make sure he was accountable when going because someone was always waiting on him. Erik turned his struggles into strengths and can now share that story of consistency to inspire people.

Erik posts videos on Tik Tok three to four times a day to stay consistent. He uses the same angle for his videos, the same background, and the same fonts and graphics in each video. This way he can change little things in his videos and see which ones are doing well, rather than changing the entire video and not knowing what people are enjoying or disliking about each one. “It’s like putting a puzzle together, if you can’t find the right piece you don’t throw the puzzle away you just look for a different piece,” Erik said. He says that you have to be aware of what you’re doing to tweak it. Don’t scrap it all, just ask yourself what you can change.

Key #2: Staying Aware of Your Business And What Is or Isn’t Working For You

The next biggest key for success that Erik uses is awareness. Awareness has played a big part in his business growth and his personal growth. In Erik’s weight loss journey, he found that until he was tracking how many calories he was eating and being aware of that, he never knew how many he was eating. Erik says that awareness ties into everything.

He says that it’s important to be aware of as much as you can in your business. The things that aren’t working, what is going on around you, and the things that other people aren’t doing are just a few things to be aware about. “If you’re aware of your business, whatever niche you pick, if you pick health, wealth, (or) relationships you have to be aware of everything that’s going on in that niche,” Erik said. Looking at analytics and keeping track of how well his Tik Tok videos were performing was a huge part of that. “If you’re not aware of what’s going on in your business, you can never be successful,” Erik said.

Key #3: Patience Is Key For Personal and Business Success

Erik’s third biggest key for success is patience. In every business, patience is a huge part of the success. In order to know what is working and what isn’t, you have to be patient. Growth doesn’t just happen overnight. Erik says that if he had only gone to the gym for two weeks and decided it wasn’t working and quit, he never would have lost weight and would have never gotten where he is today.

In his business, Erik had to wait to see results. His biggest message with patience is to not give up. Take your time, watch training videos, redo it again, and don’t give up. You can't just automatically become successful overnight, it’s something that takes a lot of time, dedication, and patience. I know what I'm capable of and I know with all this training that I have, and all these videos, and all these network facebook groups and everything else that I can do it, I just have to be patient,” Erik said.

Erik takes the time to get on his phone with his customers and have conversations. He wants to create a relationship with his customers and provide value to them. “It’s fun interacting with people and it’s only going to help build that business and that trust,” Erik said. Check in with your clients and ask them how you can help them. The best way to be effective is to create engagement and ask people questions.

Accomplishing A Goal Is Not The End, It’s The Beginning

Erik sets goals for himself, but his goals are not the end. “Once you achieve a goal that isn’t the end, make a new goal, find what you can achieve next,” Erik said. He now plans to get into the Facebook side of affiliate marketing and to grow. His goal by the end of the year is to be financially free online and not have to work his 9-5 job that he is currently still working.

Erik says that it’s okay to take your time transitioning into online marketing. There’s no rush, and it’s okay to only work an hour or two a day to slowly transition into just online work. Erik feels like it’s easier with a full time job because it’s easier to take your time and not feel rushed and it takes you out of a desperate mindset.

Erik took the training at Legendary Marketer, implemented what he learned, and saw actual results. “I came into it knowing nothing, and I’ll never know everything, but I know way more than I did when I first started this,” Erik said, “There’s not one thing that I’ve watched inside Legendary Marketer that has not provided me value.”

How An 81 Year Old Man Went Viral On Tik Tok And Created Affiliate Income

David Sharpe bio

Don Halloran is an 81 year old man who grew a Tik Tok profile of over 82,000 subscribers and over 1 million likes on his videos. Don has been active on Tik Tok since April 2020. When he first started out he made a commitment to himself that he was going to try Tik Tok for five days. Soon five days turned to eight months, and now he uploads a video to Tik Tok just about every day. What is Don’s secret? Showing up as his best, most authentic self.

Using Humor To Take Off With Tik Tok And Build An Audience

At first, Don had about 10 followers. One day after many months of not having a haircut due to the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, he was able to get one from his barbershop. He was so excited that he made a Tik Tok video where he said “I got a haircut!”. The genuine smile on his face and his excitement caught the attention and the hearts of many people, and his video went viral on Tik Tok.

A screenshot from the viral haircut Tik Tok

Don refers to himself as the ‘virtual grandpa’ on his Tik Tok channel. His followers enjoy seeing his content and always leave kind messages in the comments to him. His joyous energy and excitement has brought a bright light to their lives during the dark times of the pandemic. He enjoys being the virtual grandpa for his followers and giving them a reason to smile.

Turning A Life Struggle Into A Life Message To Connect With Your Audience

Don’s Tik Tok videos are a mix of affiliate marketing and his vocal improvement. He went through the majority of his life without speaking at a high volume, and feeling like he had no voice. He has been using Tik Tok to help overcome that obstacle that he had faced throughout his life.

He always knew he had a quiet voice, and he wanted to begin using Tik Tok to improve it. “When I got on Tik Tok I said ‘I’m gonna use this to improve my voice and I’m gonna do it’,” Don said. He decided that even though he didn’t know much about Tik Tok, he would commit to using it and putting himself in front of the camera. He found that after a month of using Tik Tok his voice was getting louder, and he was amazed.

Don felt like it was a rebirth of himself. He began using his Tik Tok to make sure his voice was heard. He wanted to inspire other people, especially young people who might be having the same vocal problem he had all of his life. Don felt like his story really connected with young people who had been having a similar experience in their lives of not being heard. “If you tell a story about something, I don’t care how bad you think you’ve got something, you’re gonna get some followers,” Don said, “There’s millions of people on Tik Tok and it just blew my mind.”

                         Don’s Tik Tok: @Donhalloran

He didn’t want anyone else to have to go through what he went through with never being able to use his voice to really speak up. “I can finally help some people so they don’t have to go through what I did for 81 years,” Don said.

Don’s story inspires others to not only love the parts of themselves that they may not have loved their whole lives, but to improve those parts so that they love them even more. Feeling good about yourself helps bring you the most success. The more confident people feel about themselves, the more they can focus on the tasks in front of them rather than focusing on their discomfort with themselves. That’s the message Don puts out to his followers.

Finding The Motivator To Keep Making Content And Keep Showing Up

Don’s biggest motivator is his newfound followers. “I can’t fail my followers,” Don said. Without his followers, his videos would have never gone viral, so he has a lot of gratitude for them. He feels like most people aren’t self motivated, and feels as though he is one of those people. Every once and awhile, he needs someone to give him that push to succeed. His thousands of followers on Tik Tok are the push he needs for success.

Don felt like nobody had ever really told him that he was inspiring in his lifetime. He has recently been going live on Tik Tok. During a livestream someone commented that Don was inspiring, and it almost brought him to tears. “I’m 81 years old and nobody has ever told me that I’m inspiring,” Don said. Now every day on Tik Tok, his comments are full of his followers telling him just how inspirational he is. That’s what keeps him coming back every day and making videos. “That just cemented the deal, I’m going to go for this one way or another,” Don said.

The biggest success driver is being accountable to your audience. Everyone starts with one follower. If you only have ten, five, or even just that one person following you and viewing your content, it’s most important to hold yourself accountable to making content for them. Don wants to continue giving value to his audience and helping them along whatever journey they may be going through.

Don uses affiliate marketing to share courses and education to others. He wants to share the education of creating a business online to help encourage his followers. He wants his followers to be able to have multiple streams of income that are both recession proof and pandemic proof. Not only that, but to begin creating that income much earlier than he did.

Turning Struggles Into Strengths To Inspire Your Audience And Create Affiliate Income

David Sharpe bio

Legendary Marketer client Hillary Lubinski has had no easy life, but she hasn’t let that hold her back from inspiring others and earning income at the same time. We recently interviewed her on our morning show, Wake Up Legendary, to learn about her affiliate marketing journey.

After having her daughter, Hillary began looking into earning income from home, and started out dropshipping at first. Hillary wanted to be able to have a work at home job because she knew that once she had her daughter there was no way she was going back to work, so she decided she was going to do whatever it took to make that happen, even if it meant facing some of her most difficult weaknesses.

After dropshipping, Hillary moved onto running her own ad agency for other companies. She wanted a job where she didn’t have to interact with others as much, due to struggling with anxiety. She found that going out and finding clients and getting on phone calls involved a lot of what she was trying to avoid. Hillary started looking for other ideas and ended up spending a lot of money on marketing courses that she felt like were a waste of her time. From there, she found what she had been looking for- affiliate marketing.

Hillary started doing affiliate marketing on Tik Tok. She stayed consistent with it and worked hard. She wanted to not only gain followers, but to connect and resonate with those followers as well. She had originally felt uneasy about sharing her struggles with her audience, but felt inspired by my (David Sharpe) story and wanted to share her story with her followers as well in hopes to inspire them. She made Tik Tok like her diary and shared her struggles with depression anxiety with her followers through Tik Tok.

Hillary uses her story to get comfortable with people and relate to them. Lots of people struggle with mental health these days and she wants them to know that they aren’t alone, even if they feel like it. “Once you get followers and likes you feel better about people supporting you, and it feels good,” Hillary said.

Hillary uses shock and awe by talking about things that the average person isn’t comfortable talking about themselves, but still wants to hear other people talking about. People love to be like a fly on the wall and listen to other people’s experiences without having to go through it themselves. She uses vulnerability marketing to capture her audience’s attention. Vulnerability is not about what you have or what you’ve achieved, it’s about showing the losses and the struggles.

If someone is always talking about their wins in marketing other people won’t be as intrigued, which is why it’s so important to show struggles and losses too. When you share the losses it brings people back down to reality and makes people root for you again. The losses are something people can identify with and relate to, and people want something to relate to.

Using The Perfect Combination of Wins and Losses To Inspire Your Audience

When sharing your wins with your audience it’s important to not sound arrogant. Sharing only wins will likely make you sound that way. However, it’s important to not share just losses either, or you might come off as a loser. The perfect combination of wins and losses is what is going to leave your viewers feeling inspired- win, win, win, loss.

Quit Pressuring Yourself To Be Perfect. You Are Your Worst Critic

When Hillary filmed her first marketing video, she was so nervous that she was shaking. Eventually she decided to bite the bullet and film, and now she’s much more comfortable being on camera. “It makes it a lot easier too, you stop putting pressure on yourself to be perfect,” Hillary said.

In 2018 when she started video marketing and affiliate marketing, video marketing was trending. Hillary wanted to start making videos but it took her a while due to her anxiety. She was scared of what people were going to think, she was nervous about the process, and she just wasn’t confident in herself. She felt like no matter what she did, nothing was making that anxiety go away.

The more you continue to do it, the better you’re going to get at it. Practice makes perfect in affiliate marketing, just like anything else. “As time went on it definitely got better,” Hillary said. Taking the first step of facing your fears and filming that video will leave you feeling great when you’re finished filming and will leave you feeling proud of yourself, HIllary says.

Hillary faces her fears not only for herself and her audience, but for her daughter as well. She wants to be a good influence on her and show her that it’s okay to face your fears, and that once you’ve conquered them, it leaves you feeling so much more confident and powerful. How I Grew To 200,000 Subscribers! Step-By-Step Youtube Growth Plan

David Sharpe bio

Ryan Hildreth is a client who started off working a 9-5 straight out of college. He stumbled across affiliate marketing and found it to be the best business model for himself. He started his Youtube channel in 2017 and now has over 240,000 subscribers on Youtube and over 250,000 subscribers on Tik Tok.

When Ryan first started out he was finding videos on Youtube to replicate and turn into his own words. Over time it became difficult to find new videos to replicate. He wasn’t getting much done trying to come up with ideas every day. He was missing one key factor- structure.

Creating Structure And A Schedule In Your Process To Become Successful

Ryan began putting out two to three videos a week. When you’re just starting out, he recommends you make two to three videos a week so you don’t overwhelm yourself. In order to do this he had to create a weekly schedule for himself and begin planning out his videos one step at a time.

He says that getting ahead is important in case there is an emergency or something comes up that you need to spend time on. That way you have videos done that you are able to post while not working.

Ryan’s process starts on a Monday. The first thing he does is grab a notepad and a whiteboard. You can also use Google spreadsheet to organize and list your topic ideas. He lists ideas he wants to do videos on. He also plans out topics he wants to expand on and trending topics to make videos on.

Monday is his administrative day, which means no filming or content creation is done. Instead, he uses Monday solely for a planning day for idea generation. He plans out ten video ideas. He scours Youtube and finds trending videos in his niche.

Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday are the days Ryan creates, films, and edits videos. He creates three videos and edits them, and then uploads them each of the three days. He typically spends three days a week on Youtube related work and the remaining two days on his email marketing.

Outsourcing Thumbnails From Affordable Creators To Deliver High Quality Images That Stand Out

Ryan outsources his video’s thumbnails. He does this through FIverr, where he finds a nice inexpensive thumbnail creator. He sends the person creating his thumbnails thumbnails for other videos that he likes. Then he asks them to be made to look similar.

He typically keeps his thumbnails 3-5 words if he can. Videos that only have a few words in the thumbnail tend to perform better. He gives the creator the title of the video and then they create his thumbnail for him.

Finding Inspiration From Other Content Creators In Your Niche

In order to find videos to gain inspiration from, Ryan types in ‘make money online’ into Youtube and makes videos around the topics that come up. He isn’t looking for a particular time stamp on the videos. Videos can still be popular and relevant years after they are uploaded. Youtube will push the top trending videos for the keywords ‘make money online’ towards you. If a video is uploaded less than a month ago that means that it's performing really well and Youtube is pushing that towards you.

Ryan doesn’t use any Youtube video filters when finding videos to get inspiration from. He leaves on ‘sort by relevance’ to ensure that he’s getting the most relevant videos to his topic. A video has to be at least eight to ten minutes long to add revenue to it. However, don’t create a video that is too long.

Youtube tracks how long a video is being watched for. If it is not being watched all the way through or too many people are clicking out of it in the first few minutes, it may not rank well. Ryan waits for a video to hit a home run. If one video starts to take off and gets over 20,000 views he will create another one like that.

Ryan stays within the broad niche of how to make money online. He says that if you just do ‘make money with Facebook’ videos for seven days straight the topic may not still be trending. However, if you did ‘how to make money online’ videos, one of those may take off. You have to have a broad topic to create from.

Get the idea?…

There’s probably not going to be a lot of videos you come up with that are original ideas. But that’s okay. Finding inspiration from videos is a great way to take parts of other videos you watch and expand on them. Getting information from other content creators and videos is a form of inspiration. Don’t get discouraged if you can’t come up with an entirely original idea for a video.

Using Free Easy To Use Software To Create A High Quality Video

Ryan uses the free software that came with his Macbook when creating and editing his videos. He uses the screen recording feature on Quicktime Player  when filming. He does this by going to ‘file’ on Quicktime Player and then clicks ‘new screen recording’. Quicktime Player is free and easy to use because it saves right to his desktop. This makes videos easier to find.

He also films himself as he’s screen recording with his Cannon T6i camera. He likes to have high quality video of himself. He combines the two in iMovie, another free app for Macbook. iMovie is an easy app for Ryan to use as well. “It’s all about what you’re comfortable with,” Ryan said. Showing a video of himself makes it more personal.

Another easy to use tool is Loom because you can record yourself and screen record at the same time. Loom is free to use for videos up to five minutes. Ryan says that over time it’s better to show your face. Showing your face links your viewers to your humanity. When Ryan films and messes up he keeps going. He takes out the parts he messes up on when editing. Each of his videos take about 20 minutes to edit.

Consistency Is The Key For Successful Results

Ryan schedules his videos to post at the same time every day at 8am. He posts at the same days and times every week because having consistency in your business is good. You will see results from videos you upload three to four months down the road, but with that consistency you will begin to grow.

Showing Humanity And Building Relationships With Your Email Lists

When Ryan adds someone to his email list, he likes to follow up with them for thirty days straight. The first two emails are conversational pieces. He likes to have a conversation with people who join his email list to get to know them and build connections. The third email he sends is typically when he pitches to them.

He doesn't send people on his email list his youtube videos. He doesn't want them to affect his watch times. This is only because he has so many subscribers and gets several thousand views on his videos within the first few hours. If you are just starting out, you should be emailing your Youtube videos to your email list.

Using Tik Tok To Generate Youtube Subscribers

When Ryan first created his Tik Tok, it took a while at first to build up followers. When he started, he started from scratch. He didn’t tell anyone about his Tik Tok and wanted to see how big he could grow it to challenge himself.

He posted at least twice a day and did mostly ‘make money online’ related posts. His posts were mostly previews of his Youtube videos. He put only his Youtube channel link in his Tik Tok profile. He wanted people to click on his Youtube channel from his Tik Tok videos to use it as a lead generation to his Youtube videos.

Ryan hit a record month in commissions the second month he was creating Tik tok videos. He was growing 1,000 to 2,000 subscribers each day on Youtube that were coming from Tik Tok.

5 Steps To Make Sales On Tik Tok As An Affiliate Marketer

David Sharpe bio

Legendary Marketer client Vasiliy Lapitov is a full time computer engineer. He always had a desire to create multiple streams of income. He found a calling in  affiliate marketing because he likes that he is able to promote others products and doesn’t have to have his own product. He began affiliate marketing with blogging but because Google changed their algorithm to become more video based, he uses Tik Tok for his affiliate marketing platform. We recently interviewed him on our daily show Wake Up Legendary to hear how he uses Tik Tok to create good quality content to gain followers and traffic on his videos.

Step 1- Create a Tik Tok account

The first step to using Tik Tok in affiliate marketing is to create an account. You can only create videos on a smartphone or tablet, so make sure you have one of those handy. Download the Tik Tok app and create an account. You can create an account using Facebook, Google, your phone number, your email, or your Apple ID. Tik Tok will ask you for your information like your birthday and email, and ask you to create a username and password. Once you’re done you’ll have successfully created a Tik Tok account. Then you’ll want to upload a profile photo and begin making your videos.

Step 2- Choose a niche

Once you’ve made a Tik Tok account, it’s time to choose your niche and what you want to make videos on. You can make videos about different topics relating to your niche. It’s important to stay on topic because it could become confusing to the viewer. Having a topic you are consistent with helps keep the viewers attention. Keep the same consistent topic and keep it simple. When growing a channel, it’s important to keep good consistency to keep viewers engaged so they can recognize you for it.

Step 3- Have a consistent setting

Vasiliy’s Tik Tok didn’t take off at first. He had to try different approaches with his videos to see what worked for him and what brought in more views and likes. He was motivated to get a jump on his Tik Tok after watching another Wake Up Legendary interview with another client. He found that consistency was key.

Vasiliy began wearing the same clothes in every Tik Tok with the same background. This creates consistency for the viewer because then they get used to what you are wearing and where you are and are able to recognize a Tik Tok from you. Because of the consistency the viewer is more likely to watch the video because they already know who you are. The consistency creates better quality, and in turn, creates better results.

Step 4- Use props

The two videos on Vasiliy’s Tik Tok that first went viral used props such as lottery tickets and hundred dollar bills. He’s found that viewers are more interested when they see a prop in a video because it attracts their eyes to the video. The Tik Tok doesn’t have to have fancy cars or fancy houses to keep the viewer engaged. Just a simple prop like a hundred dollar bill will catch someone’s attention while also making it easier for you to create the video because a lot less effort goes into making a Tik Tok with simple props rather than bigger more expensive props.

Vasiliy says it’s important to re-access your mental state. When doing any type of affiliate marketing, it comes with ups and downs. There will be trial and error using Tik Tok especially. He says it’s very important to know why you’re creating an online business. “When you have those dips, those downs this is where you wanna go back to your why and ask ‘why are you doing this?’ ‘what is your biggest why?,” Vasiliy said. Through the Wake Up Legendary show you can find more of a ‘why’ and become more inspired through other’s real life stories, just like he did. We stream our show live 5 days a week on our Facebook page. You can text WUL to (813) 296-8553 for text message reminders when we go live.

Vasiliy says he wasn’t always comfortable with being on camera and he’s had to learn a lot when it comes to creating Tik Tok videos. Using Tik tok has helped him grow as a person and has elevated his mindset. He says that knowing why you’re creating your online business and keeping that in mind will help you to move forward and continue to bring you results and make you successful long term.
