It’s the saying we hear all over the place like it’s some sound advice that’s lasted the test of time.

But why do we follow this fake it till you make it crappy life advice? 

It all comes back to our own self-confidence.

Our self-talk is whispering negative thoughts like THEY won’t think I’m pretty enough, THEY will see I’m not an expert, THEY will question me, THEY will troll me, THEY will think I'm too old or too young, THEY….

They…

Pretty soon “THEY” is controlling all your decisions in YOUR new business. 

Uhmmm…wasn’t one of the goals of starting your own business to NOT have a crappy boss?

You see, you became a student here at Legendary Marketer most likely because you’ve been looking for something more in your life, where you have control, you make the decisions, you have freedom and flexibility.

Where you are the boss. 

When we get so consumed with worry of what THEY might think or do, and what we think they want us to look like, sound like, and be…

We actually lose the one goal we were hoping to achieve…freedom. 

We give up being the true boss of our new business. 

Instead, we gave that role to them…

That shitty manager calling the shots is the “they’s” that we’re so worried about in our self-talk. 

And man, they are completely CRAPPY people to work for. 

THEY don’t care about your time with your family

THEY don’t care about your income

THEY don’t care about your success

THEY don’t care about your mental health

THEY don’t care about your freedom.

All we do when we fake it, is give all the power over to the negative voices, strangers, trolls, and online jerks.

SCREW THAT. 

Instead, take a big deep breath and…

Face it. 

Practice it. 

Embrace it. 

And step into the process of growing your business with confidence. 

Remind yourself as often as you need to: YOU CAN DO THIS. 

You can figure this out.

You can learn new skills.

You can achieve your goals.

One step, one day, one moment at a time. 

Plus, it’s a heck of a lot easier showing up consistently and continuing your education and knowledge when you’re not putting on a fake personality with fake expertise and achievements. 

Embrace the journey you’re on.

Acknowledge you don't know everything, but learning, asking questions, growing, and will find the answer. 

Kick faking it to the curb and…
