The Power of Routine in Your Life and Business
Look, I get it. No one wants to be “tied down”, told what to do or locked into any one thing. Especially not entrepreneurs. We want to live, be free and flow like the wind throughout our life and business because that's what we think success is all about. Right?
I'm here to challenge that.
Let's be honest… we endured some boring, monotonous and repetitive stuff growing up that made us want to stick a fork in our eyes. Between both school and our jobs, we've sat idle for years while someone told us what to do and when to do it…
..and we're ready to break the hell out! But going too far over into “I'll just fly by the seat of my pants” could be the worst thing you do for the success of your business.
Here's why:

Thanks for sharing that, Dave! I have noticed that when I have a routine, I am more productive and manage my time better. During the times in my life when I have had a routine- whatever I put into the routine was successful and yielded results. When I don’t have a routine I end up getting nothing done, start losing motivation and spiral into depression. I like how you link routine to personal boundaries too.
I like it Dave!
Routine is imperative to success… It doesn’t matter what your routine is as long as you have one that’s supportive of your goals both in business and in life. Nice post Dave 😎
I love these topics—I have always had a terrible time setting boundaries and very easily have fallen into the agendas of others. I hate structure and routines, but I know they are necessary to productivity. I’m struggling to set my own schedule and stick to it. Maybe I’m not 100% certain of my own priorities yet. I hope you will continue to help us do this! ❤️ The reminder to stay healthy too.
ROUTINE might just save your life one day OR, maybe it won’t. I thought, and still do, that it is CRITICAL for a whole host of reasons, including ridding yourself of the excuse of being BORED. My kids loved that one. Not sure what to do? Make a schedule and FOLLOW IT! 😃
Thanks for the idea. Yea routine is very important , if no routine we are on loosing side.
Hey David, I enjoyed all three of your videos. And I totally agree and understand what you’re talking about. I took notes and I’m going to work on applying these to my life. I can relate to a lot of what you were saying. One that really stuck out in my my mind in reference to what you were talking about was the part about being scatterbrained. It’s so nice to know that you were that way at one time and can relate to how a lot of us are at this moment. So once again I will put your note up where I can read it every day and try to stay focused. Thank you for your words of wisdom!
ROUTINE IS IMPORTANT I HAVE TO WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING I WANT TO ACCOMPLISH ON A GIVEN DAY OR WEEKEND THEN CHECK THEM OFF AS I DO THEM!!! OHHH!!!! BY THE WAY IN YOUR EMAIL IT SAYS FOR THE 3RD OPTION ROUTE WHICH CONFUSED ME?????????
Thanks so much for the videos.. All the 3 videos has a lot to do in my life cuz it seems you’re actually talking to me directly.. I noticed I’m not just certain you of my priorities and sometime I doubt myself.. Thanks once again for this videos and ideas I’m really interested
I totally agree. Additionally, routine in what is important to you is the key to getting things achieved. Thanks Dave

Time Management is vital to any success in any business
Good stuff Dave. Started to work my routine as a new year resolution and already starting to see results in my business.
Hey Dave,
I’ve found that routines and patterns keep us stable. Until just recently (when I started a part time retail job with varying days and hours), I walked my dog each day. Now, occasionally something might keep us from walking each day. But, since we were USED to walking each day, we missed it and got right back to it ASAP!
Routines seem to keep me grounded. Absolutely!
everytime I get into a routine i am more productive. Everytime I get out of routine my life turns upsidedown! Love your blog!
Routine is important. It surely helps to get things done that needs to be done. It also helps you not forget the importance things. Thanks Dave.
Thanks for another awesome video David Sharpe! You rock 🙂 Having that “no matter what” routine has already begun transforming my life. Thanks for all you do to make ordinary people become extraordinary!
AGREED!!!
